Quebec 2026 Calendar of Events

The harbor tour was interesting. The tour guide was impressive in his ability to give the tour details in English and French. We learned more about the Quebec area.

My wife and I were in Montreal getting ready to leave on a cruise and we wanted an interesting time-killer. We chose this offering and my wife prepped us for a 2-1/2-hour walking tour of Montreal; you can imagine my delight when we checked in with our tour operator and found out that we’d be spending four hours on a bus ride instead. Our excellent driver AND guide was Dominic. This is kind of a sedentary activity but we’d walked a long distance the day prior and the thought of riding around and seeing the sights rather than walking was appealing to us. Dominic took us around the town during which we stopped near the Notre Dame Basilica for a brief time and we also were dropped off for about 30 minutes at a neighborhood market, not a tourist trap, where the passengers had the chance to buy some fresh foods; many of us did. Dominic did a great job navigating Montreal’s tortuous streets, 110% of which seemed to be under some form of construction and were obstructed. This was a nice, entertaining way to see what Montreal is all about.

My wife and I were acclimating to the Montreal time zone in preparation for joining a cruise and we had a couple of days before we embarked. There’s not too many action options for Montreal, but this looked like a good one. We signed up and on the day of our ride we got there early; that wasn’t necessary so relatively late in the season. There’s were 18 people on our boat, that was expertly co-commanded by captains Eric and Carlos. A young man named Nico did a great job getting and keeping the passengers engaged. We were given a safety briefing and then were given a sweater(s), a jump suit, flip-flops and a poncho - none of which was the slightest protection from water on our upcoming experience. It took us 15 minutes to get to the rapids after which we spent 30 minutes indulging our co-captains, and then 15 minutes back to the dock. The boat was a 1,300-hp diesel that was more than adequate to propel the boat to brisk speeds. My title of Make No Mistake was meant to convey that the water regularly coming over the bow of our vessel during our 30 minutes in the rapids came like dumping bathtubs of water onto the passengers. The water was not a mistake of the captains, it was a feature of the excursion. We received warnings from Nico when we were about to be deluged, but the water was still a surprise. The water at this time of year is pretty warm, about 72 degrees, but the wind from the speed and the ambient temperature in the mid-60s. We had a very nice time on this activity and would recommend Eric, Carlos and Nico for a very wild ride with lots of excitement.

The tour is more than the cathedral and the falls. There was also a stop at a chocolate factory and a copper works. In our opinion, the chocolate factory could have been skipped because we would have liked more time to explore the cathedral. Very interesting history even for non-religious people.

This was a informative, relaxing, and wonderful cruise. It was the prefect addition to our Girlfriends trip. Highly recommend it.

The journey from Quebec City to Baie St Catherine is mind blowing in itself, and now you add in fjord style scenery, a zodiac boat and whale watching experts to the experience, and you will have an unforgettable time. Seeing these huge whales coming out of the water (3 of them simultaneously no less!) to breathe is a sight to behold of, sthg that will stay with me forever, thank you, it was very beautiful.

Excellent fun. You will get SOAKED!! But worth it. Bring change of clothes!!

We saw lots of Beluga and Minke whales on this excursion. It was a fun and enjoyable whale watching experience. I would recommend this cruise.

This tour was great fun in a 12 seater boat with a young very pleasant very knowledgeable captain who showed us various sites up and down the river and explained their nature and history. Highly recommended.
