You have to do it when you are in New Zealand! Thanks to Kenny - best tour guide!

Decided to do the whole day tour, although was booked for the half. You will get best views and experience if you do the whole day as the half is quite short. Luke, Freddy and Eva were brilliant, very knowledgeable. The sort of hike you do and don't forget. The $60nz allowance for kit was also very handy as things like gloves and an extra layer are sometimes an oversight. Overall brilliant experience.

Our tour guide Kenny was phenomenal! I couldn’t imagine attempting this hike without a guide, and Kenny was so knowledgeable and helpful.

This is amazing - a must do on your trip to NZ. It is a big walk though so be prepared with proper walking boots and outdoor clothing. The landscape is mind blowing

Fabulous guided tour with Anthony up to Red Crater and Blue lakes and emerald lakes. We were so lucky to have clear views of the crater and the lakes as the weather wasn’t meant to be good. Was a 17k hike there and back and we had a bulbous tour and our guide was so lovely. Highly recommend to use this company. Very efficient and friendly. They made us great packed lunches and provided some snacks after the hike

The full day Tangariro Alpine Crossing hike was an extraordinary experience using the provided crampons and ice axes. The hike to the highest point was challenging due to the wind and freezing condition. The guide, Mark, sorry I mean Luke 😆, was great. He made sure we were all comfortable during the hike with enough snack/water breaks. The tour group of six felt very safe during the entire hike. One of the highlight is the actual ice hiking and sliding on ice. The 20.2km, 7 hour hike did not feel that long at all as Luke shared lots of funny stories and some information about the mountain and surrounding. Highly recommended.

Great leaders Ed and Jacob very manageable hike

Really great experience, although it was a bit harder than described. Very beautiful scenery and the guides were very nice and gave lots of great information along the way. Glad I did it but it was exhausting.

This was an incredible experience for both my husband and myself. We are very fit people but the hike was pretty strenuous especially with all the steps up and down. Our guide for a private tour was Cami and she was amazing and wicked smart! She was the Rose of my experience! Make sure you check the weather conditions before you go. I like this time of year to be in NZ, not too hot or cold. Adrift is the way to go. They have supplies if you need them and lunch is included.

Kerry and Luke were exceptional guides. Kerry invoked the Māori world and Luke had a great knowledge in geology. Although the weather wasn’t optimal the guides did here best to keep us warm and inspired. As a a flashpack tour guide my group were very happy with their experience . Recommended to take the guided walk as opposed to doing it alone! Paora

Kenny, our guide, was fantastic. He kept a steady pace and ensured that the group was safe and comfortable throughout the entire hike, particularly during the descent through the loose stones. He was knowledgeable about not only the mountain but the ways of the Iwi and shared that knowledge with us. I would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic time on our hike with Adrift. Our guide Kenny was amazing, funny, insightful, and made my wife and I feel very safe on the mountain. Adrift was also very helpful in making sure we had the right gear and providing us with gear for hire where needed. The most beautiful hike we’ve ever been on!!

An excellent guided hike. Clear communication regarding the details of the hike. Despite the rainy weather conditions our guide had our safety always in mind. Our guide Kenny was brilliant. He was very knowledgeable about the culture and environment and highly engaging.

When I arrived at the meeting point, I felt in good hands. The whole hike was lovingly looked after and we had a wonderful Moorish hiking guide. The 20 km has passed with the society and the landscape as if in flight. Thank you
