Cork Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

The experience is first class and a must if visiting Ireland. The history is amazing as is the fact that Midleton Distillery has maintained all of the historic buildings and tour. The tour guide knew his history and communicated it clearly. I thoroughly enjoyed the tasting associated with the tour. I then stayed around at the Midleton Bar and sampled some of the rare releases I've read about. I was blown away and must say that they were worth the cost of the pour. I would go back again the next time I visit Ireland.

My husband and myself took my Mum as a birthday treat. We all loved the experience. We were met by a lovely lady (sorry, did not get her name) who was very friendly and welcoming. I think the man who gave the presentation was called Kevin. He was a wonderful speaker, witty and knowledgeable. They were able to answer intelligently any questions they were asked by us visitors. A great couple of hours and well worth it. I would recommend it to anyone of any age.

Our tour guide Mary was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable about the area’s history, personable, and absolute pleasure to have as a tour guide who also took her time to recommend specific requests we had for shopping, music, and dining.

This was a wonderful walk thru Cork learning its history. Rachel was fabulous. Although originally from Texas, she knew her stuff. Not in a “studied and could repeat”, but in way that she showed her passion for learning it. We wandered thru Cork for 2 hours stopping at 4 food places. We each were given a dessert. Our mistake was having lunch before. We took bites and carried a bag to consume them later. It was a lot. The Churros were my favorite but the Chocolate Vegan Donut could have been a close tie. To walk and talk and ask questions were fabulous. Would highly recommend. And yes, it was a beautiful day.

I have had a wonderful experience, from booking to visit. It started with me realising I booked for the wrong date. A customer service representative had no problem changing the date, even though the original date had been and gone. I was so grateful for that. On the day, we got a great welcome. Our tour guide Niamh was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. The grounds are beautiful. The whiskey tasting was worth the extra money. And I am not even a whiskey drinker! I highly recommend

It's a 3 person show. The actors are hilarious! They also do double duty as the wait staff (bring the food and bus the tables), but you have to get your own drinks at the bar. We had a great time and learned a lot about Cork, of course!

Very informative. Our guide, Lath, was vey helpful and witty. We loved being able to get on and off at different stops.

It was a beautiful ride . The knowledge of history was both interesting and entertaining. Stops along the way . The group was never separated. First time ever on an e bike and it was great. I had not rode a bicycle on the road for almost thirty years!

Entertaining show with interesting history of Cork that helped us decide on what to see in the city later in our trip. The food was also very good.

This boat cruise was an amazing experience from start to finish. It was a lovely tour of the beautiful Kinsale Harbour on an incredible sunny day in September. Seeing the sea otters out on the shore and then move closer to us was amazing. The staff was very friend informative. A must do experience in Kinsale. Marg and Jim (Canada)

It is well worth the time to try this tour. You will see parts of kinsale that you will not see otherwise. Miley our tour guide also was fun and informative. You do not have to be an avid cyclist to enjoy this tour.

Josh's extensive knowledge of the Beatles and Liverpool made our experience one of the best tours we've been in. Josh taught us things about song lyrics we had never associated with the true meaning- incredible! Josh didn't rush through any important points of interest on the tour, he accommodated us with a few non scheduled stops. Josh had a great personality and we felt very comfortable with him and talking about our love of music! The "cab" we toured in was extremely comfortable and spacious. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour and if you're lucky to have Josh - enjoy every second!

Our tour group decided to visit Kinsale Mead Co as a last minute add on, and I’m so happy we did! Our mead guide was very knowledgeable and funny. We got to taste the best honey I’ve ever had and, of course, delicious mead. It was a delightful afternoon, and a fun way to learn some Irish history.

A fun stop to learn about real history. Plenty of information and stories to get the gist about the prison and prison life. The grounds are actually beautiful... I wish all the buildings had been saved.

The Midleton Youghal Greenway is a superb addition to Tourism in East Cork, not only is it beneficial to people living in both towns, the fact that it starts from Midleton Railway Station puts it on the doorstep of everyone living in Cork City, as well as those living in places like Glounthaune on the railway line. From Midleton, the Greenway travels East with nice mature trees along the way. There are toilets at the old stations in Mogeely and Killeagh, both location having coffee shops open a lot of the time. As the title suggests the Greenway travels straight across flat countryside. In May we had a bit of a headwind going east, but then of course a tailwind returning east.
