Benahavis Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

This is a fantastic activity. Our guides Luna and Martin were great - very friendly and also safety focused. The scenery is awesome. I would say the trip is moderately difficult as the rocks can be slippy and there is a lot of swimming, but if you’re fairly fit you’ll love it. I’m 51 and my son is 17 and we both enjoyed it. We’ve done a lot of trips in the area and this has been the best!

Our guide Juan was funny, helpful and patient. Great experience and lots of fun.

It was a fantastic experience, to spend a day with family or friends. Good organization and well advised throughout the three-hour duration of the Guadalmina river descent. Well equipped with their corresponding harnesses and helmets to avoid accidents

A fantastic experience for myself and my 11 year old son. The perfect level of challenging for us, I would say for an 8 year old you would need to be very capable as need to abseil down a 4m dam and it’s hard work at times swimming through but a fantastic experience I would and have recommended to anyone!

Serious fun, but more strenuous than expected. The guide was truly fantastic with other guests and another young guest. I was completely impressed with him and his approach to the entire group. Just note, a lot of swimming. Also, no snacks or drinks. I do t think the wayer fountain at the end should count as drinks. Although no snacks or drinks, I still rate it a five star experience. Just ear more before you come, as you’ll need the energy xx

We had such a blast on this experience. Beautiful scenery, a large variety in terms of climbing, swimming, sliding and jumping. Our guide Martin was very friendly and patient, guiding us through the route, which was roughly 3 hours start to finish. Would 100% recommend going as a couple or small group to keep things moving along. Well worth the fee, something for everybody and the opportunity to step out of your comfort zone if you want to!

Voted 'the best thing we did on holiday' by my teens ... and I couldn't agree more!Juan Antonio was a fabulous guide, making it tons of fun and making sure we were safe whilst doing it! He took lots of photos of our experience which was nice to have!Things we think you should know.... Take the 9am slot! Its so much better when theres just you and your small group navigating your way down the river. We could see all the other groups on our walk back up and it looked busy! Hire the shoes! There are slippy rocks at points as expected & I'm not sure normal trainers would cut it! You don't have to do the jumps! If you don't fancy one you don't have to do it.... theres always a lovely swim as an alternative!Apparently we just HAVE to go back next year! So Juan Antonio and the TUUR team.... we'll see you next year! :-)

We had a very good time, in a natural environment

It has been a total success. Great, and I had a fantastic time. The guides, África, Sandro, and the other guy (oops, I don't remember his name) were a 10.

I would highly recommend this trip! The team made us feel incredibly safe while still delivering a truly exciting and adventurous experience. I did it with my son, and we both had the time of our lives. It was an unforgettable experience from start to finish, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Our guide was very nice, and took photo and video footage of the tour. Other members in the group for this tour were very intense. We moved so quickly, we finished in less than 2 hours, including extra jumps since we were so far ahead of schedule. I wish our guide would have slowed the pace a bit, to allow time to enjoy the beautiful caves. It might be better to designate tours as more relaxed versus more intense, to allow all members of the group to enjoy the tour.

Jennifer was an excelent guide, we felt Secure and had a great tour, I can highly recommend this tour.

The experience was great and so was Martin, our tour guide. Very fun and challenging, would def on canyoning again.

The crew starts the tour with instructions and techniques, safety, etc. Then when one arrived to the water the fun begins and the views just get better by the minute.
