Our private group experience with Alta Adventures was nothing short of exceptional and became one of the most memorable parts of our Arctic journey. Our hike took us through spectacular scenery with stunning panoramic views, and sampling fresh local delicacies was the perfect way to experience the region’s culinary traditions.Our guide was outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history, nature, and culture of Alta. Having a private group experience allowed us to enjoy every activity at our own pace while receiving personalized attention throughout the day.I highly recommend Alta Adventures to anyone visiting Northern Norway. From the very first contact, the customer service was frendly and welcoming. We made this really extempore.The one-hour horse trek was absolutely incredible. The route was breathtaking. The horses were calm, well cared for, and a joy to ride. We loved every single moment of this experience. It was one of the highlights of our trip.Our guide was wonderful. She took her time with us, answered all our questions, and made us feel completely comfortable throughout the experience. Her kindness and love for the horses truly shone through.The farm was absolutely beautiful and impeccably maintained.We feel incredibly lucky to have experienced this with you. Magical and cold. Our ski gear did not make it, had to get other gear on. The only way to see the northern lights but bring a good camera phone capable of taking pictures in low light samsung failed but iPhone worked

Since our ship was overnight in Alta, we wanted to go searching for the lights. This tour was a much cheaper option than what was offered by the ship. They conveniently pick up and return to the port. It had been cloudy all day so we weren’t expecting much but we kept driving further north away from town through many tunnels before we reached a location that they felt was promising. We were rewarded with a beautiful display that got better the longer we stayed. They served hot chocolate and pastries in the van and set up a tripod to take pictures which we really appreciated. We’re glad we chose this tour especially since we met several people on our cruise that paid much more but didn’t see any lights.

This was such a nice trip, it felt so personal, as if it was just friends riding and chatting and laughing. You cannot buy that sort of “vibe”. A heartfelt thanks to our host and I hope my paper dragon amused your children!

I already made horseback rides in Switzerland, Chile, Argentina, Kirgistan and Kasachstan. - This tour is definitly a must have! - The horses are very calm, well trained and will enjoy the beautiful winter landscape as well as the rider.For riders with basic experience it is also possible to start on a training ground before going on the trail.

Absolutely fantastic experience. I was slightly apprehensive as I'm a 60+ female & hadn't ridden a snowmobile or motorbike before. My partner & I decided on a snowmobile each and it was the best experience of our whole trip. We were collected from our cruise ship, taken to the office for a safety briefing etc and to collect winter riding gear. Snowmobile driving instructions were very clear and I felt very safe the whole time. We had a perfect day out on the snow- wished we could have repeated it the next day as well! Thank you so much for making our Arctic trip so memorable. It really was the highlight of our trip!

Pick up from port by friendly driver, Thor and driven to the beautiful farm in stunning scenery. The family are really friendly and welcoming chatting about the animals and their way of life. The sleigh ride was perfect and the horses beautiful. Home baked warm cinnamon buns and cured meats with a hot drink were served in the cosy Sami tent.

Booked this excursion whilst on a cruise stop in Alta. We got off the cruise walked for 5 minutes pick up point easy to find we were then driven to get all our arctic waterproof gear and instructions no need to take anything everything is provided don’t forget your driving license the experience was amazing 🤩 the best trip we have done hot chocolate and danish halfway what’s not to love the guys who took us were amazing and the scenery breath taking this is a must if you visit Alta thank you 🤩

Absolutely fantastic experience. Anuk was so friendly and professional. The dogs were so happy and energetic, we could not stop smiling! The venue was quite charming too. It is not cheap however believe me, you will never regret what you have paid for. Thank you so much 💓

Easy pick up and drop off at the port where our ship was docked. Great driver and guide who made sure we had a wonderful experience. Fortunately, the lights were very active and we stopped at various spots to see the lights. Even stayed longer at the final stop to enjoy the light display.

An unforgettable experience from start to finish. We are still thinking about and talking about it, now that we are back in England. Forget the large coach party tours because this is the one for you. You are treated as one of the family and we met so many of them right from their 4 year old lovely granddaughter to their charming grandmother. You can enjoy all the details of the fabulous long sleigh ride, meeting the animals inside as well as out, and the delicious food provided, by looking down below this review. We can only agree with everything we read there. Thanks again to one and all for such a memorable morning on the ice and snow. Wish we could come again.
