From beginning to end, the experience was fun, welcoming, authentic, and something we will talk about for years to come.A very special thank you has to go to Claudio. He was absolutely wonderful, especially with our daughter, Avery. He took the time to teach her, encourage her, joke with her, and make her feel completely comfortable and included. His personality and enthusiasm made the entire experience so much more than simply learning how to make pizza. You could tell that he genuinely wanted us to have a great time, and he gave Avery a memory from Italy that she will never forget.We learned how to prepare our own pizza from scratch and, of course, got to enjoy the finished product! It was hands-on, relaxed, full of laughter, and exactly the kind of authentic Italian experience we were hoping to find.Between the beautiful setting, the hospitality, the food, and the people, Gargiulo exceeded our expectations. If you are traveling with teenagers or children, we especially recommend the pizza school. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An unforgettable experience — highly recommend!Our tour and tasting at Gargiulo was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! We were looking for an authentic experience rather than just another tourist attraction, and this was exactly what we hoped for.We loved learning about the history of the family and their olive oil production, which dates back to 1849. It was fascinating to hear how the location of their olive groves makes harvesting with large machinery difficult, so much of the work is still done manually. We also learned about their trees and the process of grafting different citrus varieties—something we had never really understood before visiting.The tasting was incredible! We had the opportunity to sample 31 different olive oils, along with their delicious house-made marmalades. We had no idea there could be so many different flavors and varieties of olive oil, and we learned so much about how to properly taste and appreciate them.The entire experience felt personal, welcoming, and genuinely Italian. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up having a box of our favorites shipped home to the United States!If you are visiting the Sorrento area and want to experience something beyond the typical tourist stops, do not miss Gargiulo. It was educational, delicious, and such a memorable part of our Italian adventure. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Brilliant trip
Brilliant experience. We were a little sceptical as the transfer was delayed but that was soon forgotten about when we got there. The attention to detail for the olive oil tasting and the wine tasting is amazing then the pizza making experience with Claudio was something else. We laughed, cried, made pizza, ate pizza and drank wine! Great experience all round.

Excellent from start to finish. Pick up was as exactly as arranged. We really enjoyed the olive oil tastings and seeing the products in the shop. Then it was the wine tasting hosted by Luisa and her team. The wines were delicious and superbly paired with local dishes. All served on a terrace with a view of Vesuvius. Everyone we met was so friendly and helped make the experience perfect. 5 stars from start to finish.

Must Do Experience Especially for Families!
I recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Sorento area. This is an authentic lemon, orange, and olive orchard. The tour portion was easy and informative ending with olive oil and limoncello tasting. The products promoted were outstanding with zero sales pitch from the outstanding staff. The pizza making class is not to be missed with Claudio and Salvatore. We made incredible pizza dough and delicious pizza, made limoncello, and we ate and drank wine with incredible views of the mountains and coastline. If you have the time DO NOT miss this experience.

One of the Best Experiences of Our Italy Trip!This was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip to Italy.Our experience at Frantoio Gargiulo began with a fascinating tour of their olive oil production and the history behind it. We learned how their olive oil is made and got to see some of the original equipment used hundreds of years ago. Seeing that history firsthand before experiencing how they produce olive oil today was fascinating.Then came the cooking—and Claudio was truly the person who made this experience exceptional. He taught us how to make authentic eggplant Parmesan and homemade gnocchi from scratch, and his skill in the kitchen was obvious from the moment we started. But what impressed us even more was his ability to teach. He knew exactly when to demonstrate, when to let us try it ourselves, and how to make everything approachable while still teaching us the little techniques that make a real difference.More importantly, Claudio has that rare ability to make people feel completely comfortable. He was warm, funny, patient, and genuinely engaging. By the end, it felt less like we had taken a cooking class and more like we had spent the afternoon cooking with a very talented Italian friend. Claudio didn’t just teach us recipes—he made the experience personal, and that’s what we’ll remember most.And then came the perfect ending: we got to eat everything we had just made! We sat at the top overlooking a spectacular panoramic view of the Amalfi Coast, enjoying our own creations along with the local olive oil and products. It was one of those moments where you look around and think, this is why we came to Italy.Between the history, the olive oil tour, hands-on cooking, incredible food, breathtaking view, and especially Claudio, this was so much more than a cooking class. It was a genuine taste of the food, traditions, and hospitality of this beautiful part of Italy.If you’re visiting the Sorrento area, don’t miss this experience. A real gem and truly worth it
Very well organised from start to finish. The tour and the tasting was incredibly good. They pick you up and drop you off from and to your hotel which is excellent. They ship to your home aswell which given we just couldn’t decide on what we loved the most we ended up getting several bottles plus some pasta and sauce. The only tiny thing is remember bug spray as there are an army of mosquitoes out there!!!

Frantoio Gargiulo Olive Oil Experience
Met at our hotel by a nice air conditioned car and on time.
Greeted by hostess Veronica on our arrival and given a gentle informative walking tour of the garden and the old historic buildings and ancient mill.
Following a look at the modern machinery used in the process we were then shown to our private tasting experience, sampling a range of delicious olive oils and balsamic mixtures. Plus of course a taste of Limoncello in two guises.
A looped video showing the old manual labour method with some modern music added to the pleasant atmosphere.
There was no pressure to buy and the areas were very clean and airy.
A good visit that we would definitely recommend if you in Sorrento.

Totally exceeded our expectations. A really immersive and enjoyable experience even for non-avid wine drinkers like ourselves. Beautifully situated in the hillside overlooking Sorrento. We were especially impressed with the quality of the food accompanying the wines selected by the resident experts. It was the favourite experience of our holiday 10 out of 10.
