If you are an active traveler. This tour is a MUST. My husband and I enjoyed the full day of cycling, hiking, walking and taking the ferry to the beautiful island of Aegina. Our tour guide was fantastic!!

Great bike ride!
At first we were nervous this wouldn’t work out because the tour guide was having trouble with his key to open the shop and one of the bikes needed a little work (horrendously screechy brakes), but he worked all that out and we had a great time! My husband and I ended up being the only ones on the tour so we got to go at our own pace, ask all our questions, and we didn’t block up city streets like the big hoards of bikers around Athens. On the ride up the mountain, we stopped to see a couple monasteries and many amazing views of Athens. It was a great experience and our tour guide, Kristantinos, did a great job! Note that the e-bikes have pedal assist so you still have to pedal, but the bike helps you get up the mountain. It’s not very difficult if you’re relatively fit. This was one of my favorite things I did in Athens!

Long day but so worth it!...
Long day but so worth it! Konstantinos was an excellent guide, the e-bikes were in great condition, and having a private tour was so valuable. It can be a little strenuous if you're not used to hills, but the e-bikes made things so much easier, and Konstantinos was very patient with us when we struggled. We got to spend a bit of extra free time in Aegina for dinner. Returned tired but satisfied!

Great biking trip with...
Great biking trip with awesome views of Athens! Constantinopolos was a very personable and knowledgeable guide who navigated us through the city with a few stops to point out historical sites and up to the mountain. We came back down through the forest on dirt roads which was fun. Our guide was good at letting us know when to turn, checking we were following, and letting us know what the next steps would be. Very good experience on our trip to Athens.

Almost a private your for me, but would still be a great tour as a group
Had a wonderful introduction to Athens with Konstantinos. Only me on the group tour in the off season so it was very private. Props to Konstantinos for going ahead anyway as it would have been all too easy to decide to cancel (and other tour operators did, or reschedule for other excursions I had planned).I really got my bearings for the first day in the city. Good pace for cycling even though my guide copped out 🙂 by taking an electric today. 28km route and not too many hills. No problems with traffic - most on cycle routes with a bit of road crossing, and even when we took to the road on the return journey for a change of scenery being as there was only the two of us.I'd had a bit of a wander around the tourist centre of Athens on my arrival the previous evening, but Konstantinos took me through Athens stopping briefly at various points to show me e.g. examples of particular architecture, and gave me lots of information about the Acropolis and advice on visiting. You'd think this might be a uphill struggle on a push bike, but no issues with the planned route (and only one heavier section on our off-piste return). After looking at the historical centre, we headed down a deliberately planned cycling throughfare towards the coast. We parked up and had a look at views over Athens from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) which while wonderful in itself, and offers a toilet stop was useful to me later in the week when I find myself in the area with a cancelled cruise with another operator, so took the opportunity to return and view the exhibits inside.We continued down the coast. There was the opportunity for a dip in the sea, but somehow Konstantinos didn't seem to keen to lead the way... in late November.🥶After passing Kalamaki marina, we turned tail to retrace our steps for a bit before stopping for a coffee at a cafe on the coast. I discussed my plans for the week and got great advice on what would be worthwhile, what might be OTT (I took on board that visiting the Corinth Canal was too far for a solo day trip and it needed to be combined with visiting something else to be worthwhile).There was some jovial 'sales pitch' for other trips Active Holidays in Greece could offer, but it being low-season this wasn't plausible cost wise for a solo trip. Had there been any other shared trips planned for later in the week I may well have been tempted to join.With just the two of us and now used to each others we decided to head back on (quieter) roads rather than the cycle path and see more of the city. I got a wonderful personal tour throughout and confidence that I would be okay hiring a bike later in the week if I wanted (I didn't get round to it in Greece, but did visit Aegina and hire one there although the roads were much quieter so I wasn't too concerned).This was a great tour run by a small business. Research ahead of time showed what looked like a 'back street' shop/office on Google Street View. This worried me a little in terms of finding the right place in the morning but it was 10 minutes walk from my hotel and typical of Greece.Konstantinos was most welcoming and shared his time generously. I wouldn't hesitate to book other trips with Active Holidays in Greece where I in the vicinity again.

A wonderful and memorable ride with Kostos! The ride was easy, safe, and full of historical references. The views are stunning along the route and was a great introduction to both the city center and the coast. Kostos is a warm and personable guide and went out of his way to answer questions and show me items that most tourists likely don’t encounter. Highly recommend!

Best way to escape Athens and visit Aegina with an expert guide
This was, without a doubt, the absolute highlight of our trip! It ended up being my partner and I, and our guide, Konstantinos. While we were initially nervous about biking through the city, Konstantinos was an expert guide, navigating us safely and making us feel totally comfortable the entire time. Rather than being awkward, spending the day with him felt like exploring with a knowledgeable friend—he is genuinely kind, engaging, and easy-going.He perfectly assessed our cycling abilities and curated a breathtaking tour of Aegina, hitting picture-perfect spots while sharing fascinating history. I cannot recommend this experience, and Konstantinos, enough!

This tour exceeded our expectations! First, Konstantinos was an amazing guide and we enjoyed spending the day with him as we navigated a bit of Athens, but mostly the beautiful island of Aegina on e-bikes. We learned about and experienced local history, archaeology, culture, foods, tourism, landscapes, beaches, and so much more! Being on a bike gives you an “up close and personal” perspective of the island you couldn’t possibly experience by motorcycle, car, or bus! Konstantinos was flexible, and throughout the tour he gave us options on what he thought we’d like to do, see, and eat. In other words, he personalized the day! You can’t ask for more!

Fantastic day. We took local bus from cruise terminal and started from central Athens. Our guide Constantino took us past the main historical sights of Athens with time for photos and a bit of history, then we left the bustling city behind us and cycled up Mt Hymettos. Views of Athens were outstanding. Stopped for coffee and local cuisine before heading back via changing of the guards . You do need a reasonable level of cycle experience and if not staying central then allow time to get to/ from the meeting point. Great value for money. Definitely recommend this tour.

Very enjoyable tour!
This was a great bike tour with amazing views and a solid workout on some steep hills. Our leader, Konstantino, was very talkative and gave us a great tour of Aegina Island via bike and foot. We enjoyed some local cuisine before taking the ferry back to the city.

Very friendly, helpful, guide. A fun trip.
We enjoyed this trip immensely. We had a nice, mostly downhill, ride to the docks. The ferry was large and the sea was calm. The bike ride there was nice. With the assist from the e-bike the riding was never too hard. Our guide, Constantino, was extremely friendly and helpful. We did hike up the mountain, but we didn't have time or energy to get to the very top.

Stunning Views of Athens and Sea
Riding with Kostas makes you feel like an Athenian as he knows the back routes and shortcuts to reach the mountain through the city. Once reaching the foothills and making the ascent, the views are breathtaking from many vantage points, and the smell of the pines are an olfactory delight. The descent is exhilarating, too! Lastly, catching the sunset and the golden sky to end the ride was equally breathtaking. Highly recommend for people in good physical condition. It’s a trip to remember!
