I've done a lot of tours and workshops in my time, but none have even come close to this experience! First of all, Richard is an excellent teacher and encouraging cheerleader, besides being incredibly friendly. The process itself was creative and fun. All the instructions were very clear and we were given the chance to practice stamping and hammering to get an idea of how the final product was going to look before embarking on the actual process. It's such an enjoyable 3 hours and you leave with a personal keepsake besides. Absolutely worth the fee and then some! Thanks!

I visited The Silver Hand in Bruges to make a ring for my 40th birthday, and the whole experience was truly wonderful. The moment we stepped inside, the décor set the mood — beautifully curated, calm, and full of character. Everywhere you looked, there were inspiring pieces and so many creative options for designing your own ring, each one sparking new ideas.Richard is such a kind, gentle and steady man. He listened to our chit‑chat, asked thoughtful and caring questions, and guided us through every step with warmth, patience immense skill and genuine enthusiasm. He explained all the different techniques and possibilities without ever overwhelming us, helping us choose what felt right and what we loved most. His guidance made the whole process feel relaxed, creative and deeply personal. Something went "wrong"? All fixable or just part of the process to embrace.And I have to mention Pappy, his lovely dog — such a sweet companion who added an extra layer of charm to the studio. His presence made the space feel even more welcoming.Highly recommended. A memorable experience with genuinely lovely souls in a truly beautiful setting.

Really enjoyed our photo walk with Andy. Lots of ideas about composition and the history and contemporary culture of Bruges. It was great to see the way that he has approached different subjects. Andy has an easygoing manner and clearly has a great love of Bruges.

What a fabulous tour with Andy! We started our tour at the red door right in the central part of Bruges. Instructions were very clear and it was very easy to find Andy to start our experience. Andy he was very personable and made us feel welcome and excited about learning more about photography. He took us to some really unique places and allowed us to unleash some of our creativity (when three of the four of us were not avid photographers). We loved hearing about the history about Bruges as an added bonus. This made it a very special experience. Thank you Andy for a great afternoon and we will recommend this tour to any of our friends that are coming to Bruges. On a sidenote, we ran into Andy later and got to meet his lovely wife! Serendipity!

I took the "Hidden Brugge" tour and was very informative. Andy definitely knew his photography and local history of Brugge. He had good examples on his ipad and gave good suggestions and critique of pictures immediately taken.

I've taken three private tours with Andy at Photo Tour Brugge over the years. Each time, Andy went above and beyond to make the tour a phenomenal experience. He has always taken took into account my experience level each time, my goals, and my equipment. From the first tour (where he focused on helping me learn the basics of using a mirrorless system) to my most recent tour with him (where he helped me with composition and 'story telling'), he's been wonderful and fun to work with. I appreciate how he takes the time to listen to my questions and goals (including as they change during the tour) and adapt accordingly. I highly recommend doing a photo tour with Photo Tour Brugge!

Andy gave my wife and I an amazing tour of beautiful Brugge AND helped us capture some incredible and unique photos of the lesser known parts of town. We learned a little history from a local, got some photo tips, and had a lot of fun on this tour. Highly recommend.

One of the best ways to see and learn about Bruges. Andy’s photographer’s eye helps one see Bruges from perspectives that bring so much life to already beautiful venues. If you’re learning photography, you will find a wealth of information in the time that flies by and you will find you’ve taken some great photos. This was our second excursion with Andy and we hope it won’t be our last.

My husband and I really enjoyed our photo tour with Andy. Andy was knowledgeable, friendly, and relaxed. He introduced me to exposure bracketing (which I utilized throughout the remaining 4 weeks of our time in Europe). The inspiration/example photos were a really helpful starting point to photograph a very beautiful part of the world.

Fantastic 2 and a half hours! We made our rings In a group of 4 couples. It was a fantastic experience and we now have 2 rings completely unique to us. The business owner was brilliant, engaging and friendly, he helped us create the vision we wanted!We will definitely be back!

It was a pleasant workshop. We got a very good explanation of what to do and asking something was always answered with a smile. The silver ring we made is a truly unique showpiece! Thank you to Richard for assisting us so well! We are already a customer and will definitely come back!

This was so much fun and we came home with an amazing personal souvenir of Brugge. We actually hand crafted our own rings from a piece of silver to the finished product!
