Oslo Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

The whole experience was fabulous. The silent boat was perfect for the Oslo fiord. It allowed you to concentrate on the stunning scenery all around us. The guide himself was perfect. Not too much information, again allowing us to appreciate the surroundings. All the staff on board were great, the bar well stocked and prices were fine. I highly recommend this trip.

Oslo is such a beautiful city and after seeing the Oslofjord in pictures before, to see it in person is breathtaking. It was a relaxing afternoon on a gorgeous sunny day, so this tour gets very high reviews from us. While I would have liked to learn more about Oslo, we did learn great details about the sights when we passed them. The boat was modern and very clean and silent - I highly recommend this tour.

It was a great bike tour and I’ve done quite a few (Munich, Barcelona & Bucharest).

Curtis was our guide and was aided by Dr. John another female assistant that brought me my horned helmet, saddle bag to carry my things and took my photo for me! Curtis is an attorney with a masters who just was a wealth of information that he patient provided with much humor. We first went to a dock and experienced the peace of Oslo by the fjord in mediation for a few minutes, then the Oslo City Hall where Noble Peace Prize awarded, then the the National Palace, we went to the Askers (sp?) Castle, residential streets of West Oslo past a number of embassys, then a new wharf and Vigeland Park (maybe not in that order) but Curtis even provided us with an Oslo map of where we'd been. Took many photo of me for me since I was solo. Just so much fun riding on the calm Oslo streets in the warm sunshine like a Viking in my horned helmet!

This is a really well presented museum, plenty of explanation and descriptions of the expeditions undertaken. Walking through the various decks of the boat was fascinating, and gave a real insight into life on board. It is worth going through the tunnel walkway to see the Gjøa and the N25 4D cinema.

We thought she was fabulous. She had very interesting observations, was knowledgeable about the art everywhere and the architects and the history, etc. but she was also fun. She had good insights into the culture of the country and politics and explaining the king’s death, etc..Tour of Vigiland Park was very special. She explained everything so well. Book her!

We always like to do a hop on hop off bus tour when visiting a new place. This was a nice clean modern bus and as it has been raining a tarpaulin roof was in place.We got confused with the finish times and found ourselves not at the nearest stop to our accommodation, something to do with the peak period timings stopping and wasn't a problem but something to look out for.Booking was easy and the bus/stop was easy to find and where expected.

Romy was terrific . She was especially knowledgeable about Norwegian history and how the various areas we visited fit into the development of modern Oslo. Definitely recommended.

Interesting tour through Oslo.

Wonderful experience. The boat itself was very comfortable and well maintained. I took the first ride of the day and it wasn’t crowded at all. Enjoyed listening to the audio tour which was informative.
