Mostar Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Such stunning artwork! Mak did an excellent job of showing us various art pieces around Mostar and explaining bits of history and culture that made the pieces much more impactful. We just managed to squeeze this tour in during our short stay and I'm so glad we did. It was by far one of my favorite activities during our stay in Bosnia.

We booked the private walking tour and it was excellent. Our guide spoke excellent English (very fast). We covered the entire old town and some of the Austrian Hungarian section as well. The private tour was excellent as you see so many larger groups trying to move through the very busy crowded town. Having just the guide and 2 of us made it so much easier.

The ride was comfortable, and the guide was very knowledgeable and informative about Bosnia & Herzegovina and its culture. He's also funny and easy to follow along. We got 3 hours of free time at the waterfall which was just the right amount.

We were 8 girls and all of us had a great experience with the guide Saed! He was very friendly, kind, and funny, and he made us feel comfortable throughout the whole experience which made the atmosphere even better. He also let us listen to our own music and was very patient, even waiting for us when needed. Really nice and excellent service. Highly recommended!

A beautiful walking tour around the old streets of Mostar. Azra shared so much of her town's history and showed us spots off the beaten path. Finishing the tour with a wine tasting was the perfect end to the evening. Thank you Azra!

I was travelling solo but right from the start, Anel my guide, made me feel welcome, included and safe. He was so genuinely kind!! The day was spectacular, I learnt so much about Bosnian history. Swimming in the freshwater lake at the waterfall was spectacular! Communication and pick up excellent. Very impressed.

Such a lovely experience! Adi was an amazing guide and made my birthday even more special by surprising me with a local cake 🥹 Along the way, he also brought us little local treats : fresh figs and plums he got from some boys selling them by the roadside. Such sweet little gestures that made the whole experience even more memorable. Thank you for everything! 🙏🏻

We had such an amazing experience kayaking on Lake Jablanica! The scenery was absolutely unreal. The lake is stunning and being out on the water was so peaceful. Our guide was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He provided us with water and delicious fresh juice, which was such a thoughtful touch. The kayaking itself was so much fun, and he made sure we felt comfortable throughout. To top it all off, our phones weren't working, so he even called us a taxi afterwards to make sure we got back safely. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

My husband and I were the only participants on this tour and we enjoyed the personal attention! Miran was an excellent tour guide. He gave us a detailed (but easy to understand) history of the Communist era in Bosnia ..... a perfect preparation for our tour of Tito's bunker. He also discussed some of his own personal history. We drove through the beautiful countryside and visited several interesting sights and towns. The bunker itself was very interesting. Although it was not used for its original purpose (thank goodness), it was very well constructed. I definitely recommend this tour.

Busy at times but really worth the visit to understand the Dervish history and religious background to this unique place.

The kayak experience it's an experience itself, but the best part is actually meeting Merak. He is one of the kindest and welcoming persons I've met in my life. My recommendation is to make this amazing experience with him because it adds so much to the experience. He is very knowledgeable and will tell you a lot of interesting facts about the lake and Bosnia and he is so generous and keen to get you an amazing experience. He is the best guide and host ever. I'll never forget this experience but especially I'll never forget about his amazing personality. Thank you so much Merak, hope to see you again soon!!!!:) such a wonderful person
