Hvar Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

What an awesome way to see Hvar, especially if you're crunched on time. We showed up and this giant truck with open-air seats picked us up to take us the 30 minute drive to the winery area. This was a little scary but also such a cool experience in itself!! Once you get there, you get to try 6 different wines with homemade bread, homegrown veggies/meats/cheeses. It was wonderful and the views were so worth it... bring a jacket in case you get cold for the open-air car ride (and make sure you're not afraid of heights)!

A very well run tour that collects you from your Hotel and has four stops . Each of twenty minutes.. From ruins to old villages to lavender fields and includes spectacular scenery for photography. Our guide Marco was excellent. A pricey trip but worth every penny. Comes Highly Recommended.

Mirko gave us the best day on the water! He expertly navigated us empty or less busy bays, always securing the most beautiful swim spots! The boat was perfectly sized, clean, and comfortable! Couldn’t reccommend a boat day with Mirko enough!

Luka was an exception guide. He was thorough, detailed, attentive and above all friendly. He is English is excellent. The wine tasting experience was great even for this wine snob. This was a wonderful experience. I couldn’t recommend it more!!

This was a wonderful tour of the beautiful island of Hvar. Daniel was a marvellous guide and so knowledgeable - there wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer. He even replaced one of the stops (as we had visited it already) with another one. The tuk-tuk was so quiet (being electric), it made it a very peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable way to travel. We would recommend this tour to anyone. We were disappointed having travelled to another island to find a similar tour does not exist.

He was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to, which made the entire day feel relaxed and personal rather than like a typical organized tour.We loved learning about the local wines, olive oil, and Croatian culture along the way. Luka took the time to explain everything, answer our questions, and made sure we were enjoying ourselves throughout the experience.The scenery was beautiful, the wine and olive oil were fantastic, and the whole experience felt authentic and unhurried. 🍷🫒🇭🇷Luka was a huge part of what made the day so enjoyable. We had plenty of laughs and great conversation, and by the end of the tour it felt more like spending the day with a local friend.Definitely a 10/10 experience and one of the highlights of our trip to Croatia. We had a great time exploring the island on the e-bikes. All the staff were very friendly and helpful in explaining the routes available and how to use the bikes. The views were stunning, and there were several villages to explore as well as beach stops. We would highly recommend this activity and hiring bikes from here

This private speedboat tour is so worth the money. You can customize what you want to do—which for us was swimming stops at coves and beaches at red rocks, a couple of stops at the Pakleni islsnds, an amazing seafood lunch place on the other side of the island, and a wine tasting at the award-winning Zlatan otok winery. Before we came I was trying to choose between a Pakleni islands sailboat day or this speedboat tour. The Red Rocks were breathtaking and we loved the experiences we chose—sure this was the clear winner, at least for us. Our boat driver guide Mico was wonderful—very patient and accommodating—and friendly but let the scenery take center stage. (Even when he got stung by a bee at the beginning of the experience, he never complained and insisted on cheerfully continuing and spending 7 hours at our every beck and call. I hope he reads this review as we are forever grateful. Hope to be back and do this again someday.

Markos showed us a beautiful time kayaking to the islands. He was chill, professional, informative and fun. Felt safe the whole time. Had plenty of time to swim and snorkel. Would definitely recommend.

What a fantastic way to explore the waters around Hvar! This was our first time kayaking, and our guide Rino gave great instructions and support. He also was very informative about Hvar and Croatia, and was fun to hang out with. Also, communication from the company ahead of time was excellent. Very glad we did this!

On Monday, July 20th, my friend and I embarked on a fantastic 8 hour boat experience with an informed, kind, easygoing, and skilled captain (Prosper). When we boarded our boat, which was fully stocked with beverages as well as scuba gear and phone protective cases, we simply walked about ~500 feet from our hotel which was amazing. Upon getting onto the boat, Prosper told us that unfortunately, the blue cave was temporarily closed. -- This was 100% the best possible outcome, as we instead had the BEST TIME (highly recommend this over waiting in lines at the blue cave) exploring many "swim spots" as Prosper says, as well as an underwater winery and visiting the red rocks over the course of our 8 hours. It was incredible just going from beach to swim spot to the winery (which was so incredible to see how the wine was made and even did a tasting!) We played our own music via aux as the boat cruised around the various islands. Prosper answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable about all of the spots as well as Croatian historic structures and features of the various islands! It was truly the dreamiest day and everything was on our own time, meaning Prosper let us know throughout the day the different places we could go as well as we were able to let him know how long we would like to spend at each spot. :) I will forever remember this day as so chill, fun, and welcoming -- the islands of Croatia, there is simply nothing like it! Thank you to Prosper for everything and for a fantastic day on the boat!

Very nice visit place to taste good wines

Visiting Hvar was on our to do list whilst staying in Split. We caught the morning ferry across to Hvar. A wander about the streets before we stopped off for breakfast. The island is beautiful. We wandered down to the beach & went in to cool off. The water is so clear, you can watch the fishes swimming about you. After feeling refreshed, we headed back to the shops for a browse at the local products, before stopping off for a cold drink before heading to catch the ferry back at the end of the day. Worth a visit. I would like to stay on the island next time I visit.

It was very easy to get in touch with Pjero, who then proved to be an excellent guide throughout the entire excursion. This trip allowed us to discover the small islands from a different perspective. Magnificent views from the sea. Thank you to Pjero for his explanations, his kindness and his help.
