Cuenca Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Luis was so fun to talk to. He told us a lot about Ecuador. He also was curious and wanted to hear about our country. We had a great time talking and learning from each other. He drove very safely, especially when the fog was thick coming down the mountain.

We had a group of 3 and our guide was Sebastian. What an amazing opportunity to learn and hike in Cajas! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable not just about the national park but about Ecuador as a whole. He answered our questions throughly and created the best experience our group could have hoped for. The private transportation feature was A++. Highly recommend!

Cajas is an incredible place and absolutely worth going. I think it's easy enough to go yourself but I enjoyed learning about the ecosystem and history throughout the hike and while visiting the other viewpoints. Eddie was a great guide - punctual, informative, and patient.

Amazing day in Cajas National Park. The scenery is spectacular, and the tour was very well organized. Our guide, Edison, was excellent: knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the park. He shared interesting context about the landscape, plants, wildlife, and history, while keeping the pace relaxed and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this tour with Edison!

We had a half-day trip to the National Park near Cuenta. The weather was very cold and rainy, so we had to modify the trip, but Adrian, our guide, was very informative and gave us a good tour. Greatly recommended!

Cajas National Park is incredible. It has a biome unlike anything I’ve seen. A peaceful place, perfect for recharging. My friends and I had an amazing tour! Our guide was Sebastian - he was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He made us feel safe and we would absolutely recommend him as a tour guide. The hike was challenging in the best way and we felt very accomplished afterwards!
