We had a wonderful food walking tour through Catania with our fantastic guide, Simona! She was warm, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience so enjoyable.We visited several different places and had the opportunity to try many types of food, including specialties that are very unique to Catania and Sicily. Simona explained the history and traditions behind the foods we were tasting, which made the tour much more interesting and meaningful.One of the highlights was trying Sicilian granita. It was not traditional ice cream made with milk, but a delicious frozen dessert made with different flavors. It was absolutely amazing!We also visited the fresh food market, where we saw an incredible variety of fruits, vegetables, fresh fish, spices, and other local products. It was fascinating to see how much fresh and regional food is part of everyday life in Catania. Simona shared so many interesting facts about the local ingredients and food traditions.I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Catania. It is a wonderful way to spend your time, taste authentic Sicilian food, explore the local market, and really get to know and understand the culture and traditions of Catania.And a special thank you to Simona for making the experience so memorable! She was an amazing guide, and we truly enjoyed every minute of our tour.

Our guide Alex was so informative about Lady Etna as well as all volcanoes. He was also very conscientious of safety. Hiking boots, long socks and water shoes are a must to get the most out of the experience. Alex had boots we were able to use, but for comfort your own is better. The water shoes are for the Alcantra. The water is freezing! It was quite cloudy, kind of raining on the mountain on our day, but when we got down to the gorge it was sunny. The weather did impact what we could see and do (we didn’t hike further up just to see the same fog/clouds as we could see below). The day following was beautiful and clear. 😢

This tour was excellent. Very knowledgeable and pleasant driver and the actual Wine Tasting event exceeded our expectations both in the quality of the wine and the quantity of the food provided.

We were the only 2 in this excursion and it was amazing! Simona was so very kind, informative and knowledgeable. It was wonderful having her take us around to places where she grew up. Afterwords, we sat and talked, and had wine like we were long lost friends catching up. Highly recommend!

Our guide, Azzurra was a great resource for us as we toured both the colosseum and the forum. She took us through the entire arena sharing details of construction, architecture and stories about what took place in and outside the space. She had a great depth of knowledge for the history of Rome as a civilization, why the site was developed and what occupied the space before. This was true when we entered the Forum as well. A great day with Azzurra!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Salvo our guide and driver was friendly, helpful, fun, knowledgeable and patient. We stopped at a honey farm for some great tasting and then at a village ( last before Etna) with a beautiful church. Perfectly timed for a great walk at Mount Etna’s craters and then onto the most memorable and generous wine tasting and food pairing experience at the Gambino vineyard.

Great tour. Pick up was close to the hotel. The guide Francesco was informative and helpful. Loved the lava cubes, mountain walk, lunch in the organic vineyard and Taormina was beautiful.

The Lady Etna tour was a fantastic way to experience both the natural beauty and history of Mount Etna, combined with a wonderful visit to the local Gambino Winery.Alex was one of the best guides we’ve ever come across. His passion, enthusiasm, and knowledge of Etna really brought the experience to life, and he made the tour both informative and engaging.The food and wine tasting at Gambino Winery was another highlight — fantastic local food, excellent wines, and a lovely atmosphere. The small-group format made the experience feel personal and relaxed.Everything was extremely well organised, including a punctual pick-up and plenty of interesting information throughout the day.Highly recommended — a perfect combination of Etna, history, food, wine, and an outstanding guide!

Our experience was absolutely wonderful. The trip was ideally planned seeing the many cities we had a great interest in going to visit. Our driver/guide,. Paolo Mortellaro was very knowledgeable about Sicily and was able to select ideal locations for us to get the most out of our trip. He was personable, friendly, and became a friend, but in no way intrusive. We would recommend him to anyone travelling to Sicily and if and when we come back we will definitely talk to Paolo before any planning

Wonderful experience, totally recommended. The information at each point, the tests, and the route are unbeatable. The price is super low, and the flexibility provided to carry out the experience is a plus. And, above all, how fun it is; we have already gotten hooked and are going to repeat it in another city of the many they have!

Amazing scenery, well maintained facility and knowledgeable guide

We had an amazing day exploring Etna and the Alcantara Gorge. On our way up to Etna from Catania, our guide Alessio brought us to try some local Sicilian flavors such as wine, olive oil, honey and some baked goods. It was great start to the day! From there, Alessio took care us like family. He was very knowledgeable about the volcano as well as the local history and customs of the area and answered all of our questions. He truly is a pro and an all around great guy. Hopefully you’ll get Alessio as your guide too! I highly recommend this experience for you and your family. 10 out of 10!
