This tour is a must do! Such a lovely time with Miguel, we went to a local tapas bar, the food was amazing which also included two drinks per person. Then onto the cliff top for some stunning photo opportunities, rounding off the tour we went to Miguel's home farm for some tasting of jams and cheese and some liquor! Meeting his dogs, goats and chickens was lovely! Thank you Miguel !

A fantastic taste of the real Algarve – highly recommendedAli and I had a brilliant day with Miguel and would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience a more authentic side of the Algarve.Miguel was a fantastic host from start to finish, even going out of his way to collect us from Vilamoura. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and, having previously spent years taking visitors on 4x4 safari tours around the Algarve, knows both the region and its stories extremely well.What makes the experience particularly special is that this is a genuine small family business. Miguel explained how he and his mum now run the tours together from their small family farmstead. Miguel takes care of the driving and food side of the experience, while his mum produces the homemade preserves and traditional liqueurs. Hearing their story and then visiting the farm made the whole experience feel very personal rather than like a conventional organised excursion.A real highlight was eating at a restaurant used by locals and trying traditional regional dishes that you simply don't tend to see on menus in the tourist areas. We had slow-cooked pig's cheeks, chicken gizzards and salt cod croquettes, amongst other dishes. Some might sound a little adventurous if you've never tried them before, but give them a go! Everything we tried was genuinely delicious, and discovering this sort of food was exactly what we hoped for from the tour.Miguel was excellent company throughout, with plenty of local knowledge and stories, and there was never any feeling of being rushed from one stop to the next.For the amount of time, food, drink and personal attention included, we also thought the tour represented really good value for money.If you're staying around Albufeira, Vilamoura or elsewhere in this part of the Algarve and want to get away from the tourist restaurants for a few hours and discover some genuine local food, people and traditions, we'd absolutely recommend spending a day with Miguel.And seriously... try the pig's cheeks and chicken gizzards! 🇵🇹🍷

We’ve had an amazing safari tour. Our guide Diaz was terrific. He was very knowledgeable about all things in and about Portugal. He had such a great way of explaining things. With a lot of humor, insight and enthousiasm. Furthermore, the sites were really beautiful and great to see. And sitting in the back of a safari jeep was a real fun experience. I would definitely recommend going on this tour.

The driver, Marco, arrived a little late but he explained the reason why & he apologised. Once we got going Marco was clearly very knowledgeable about the region we would be exploring. Having grown up locally, he was able to explain the terrain and its various produce in detail & answer any questions we might have had.Marco stopped & pointed out along the way the various fruits & herbs growing by the roadside & even picked us samples to try. We met several of Marco’s friends too - the local horses, donkeys, pigs, dogs and goats that he has befriended along the route.During a stop to sample some local tipples, Marco showed he was equally knowledgeable on their source ingredients and how the spirits were made.We also spent time visiting a beautiful waterfall & enjoyed a dip in a refreshing spa. All the while, the journey was accompanied by Marco’s good natured humour.The end of the tour culminated in a sunset stop at the top of a peak with a beautiful view, where Marco managed to capture some lovely photographic memories for us.The afternoon represented good value for money and I would recommend a morning or afternoon spent on this safari.

I took my twin 5 year old grandsons who absolutely loved it ! The whole experience was fabulous and the guide ,( I can’t remember his name sadly) was wonderful and made the experience even better, such good value . And we will definitely be going again!
