Transylvania 2026 Calendar of Events

It was wonderful experience. Tudor is a very kind person. It was a real pleasure spending the morning with him. It was practically a private tour. I really appreciate that the provider ran it just for me and didn't cancel. I learned a lot about the history of the region and the places visited. I was almost the first person at the entrance, able to stay almost always alone inside the rooms. VIP!

I really enjoyed this tour. Marius is an experienced, intelligent and f informed guide. There were only I clients on this tour, but Marius put his all into making a great experience. I am a retired history teacher, and he was able to adjust his guiding to my level of knowledge. The case was comfortable, and he adjusted the order of visits and the lunch stop to make it the best terror possible.

A wonderful experience from beginning to end with an exceptional guide and a fantastic atmosphere. Victor is a walking encyclopedia! His fascinating stories, historical insights and passion made the entire experience even more magical and brought the places and legends to life. It was like stepping into a real fairytale. I recommend this tour to anyone looking for something unique, fascinating and memorable!

Excellent day! Tudor is a great guide!

We spent a few days in Brasov and thought that one of the best ways to learn about the area and experience the culture was to take a local food tour. Our guide, Andreea was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly as she guided us through the local market showing us a variety of fruit and vegetable vendors as well as explaining some of the jarred delicacies. We sampled some of the fruit as well as a variety of cheeses. She then guided us, purchased our tickets and escorted us on an easy bus trip ride to Old Town. Andreea explained the history of the area and then we walked outside the city walls to a restaurant where we experienced true Romanian food. We learned about customs and traditions of typical Romanian families. She ordered a selection of dishes that we were able to try along with local spirits, beer and wine. The popular and iconic dessert, Papanasi was definitely one of the best treats that we sampled. This tour certainly allowed us to appreciate Romanian food culture!

We had a fantastic day on our gastronomy and craft tour with Corina! She was charming and smart and fun. The tour was all well-paced and engaging. We a UNESCO fortified church and climbed the tower of a second fortified church. We ate well at Casa Dani, enjoyed fantastic wine at the Winehouse in Richi, made felt with Ilia and watched a coppersmith in action. Our day was wonderfully full and so memorable!

Great experience, a great way to get to know this beautiful and very industrious area. Not only Dracula’s castle but much more.

We did a full day tour with our guide Marius. It was me, my wife and 3 grown up children. We were picked up from our apartment and did Bran Castle, the bear sanctuary, quick stop off at Palincaria distillery and finally Peles Castle.Marius provided us with water and umbrellas and the whole day was a fantastic experience.Every single thing we did was a lovely experience and the information / knowledge provided by Marius was fantastic and he was always happy to take photos and answer any questions. Nothing was too much trouble.Must also mention communication was brilliant before and during our trip and he provided us with lots of information and recommendations not only for our stay in Brasov but also for our onward journey to Bucharest.Would have no hesitation in recommending these tours and we will definitely be using again next time we visit Brasov and Marius is an absolute superstar 😊Thanks for a wonderful day until next time.

Manuela was a very fascinating woman with a lot of knowledge. She was able to show us a lot. We were very satisfied both personally and professionally.

Choosing VIP TRAVEL for our Tour to Romania, turned out to be the most wise decision i have ever made. As a Tour Leader if 32 Guests, Vlad, the owner, made this tour to Transylvania County, an unforgetable one! Taking care of every thing. Starting with the great accommodation locations, going to Transportation and best driver ever, Nelu, and choosing local activities, visits, and amazing Lunch & Dinner Events. Thank you Vlad for what you are! Most highly recommended to each one who would like to taste & feel the real rythm of Romania

Manuela lead me to different spots of town and explained what happened there during the (pre-) revolutionary- time. She also gives excursions to important romainian history topics for better understanding and add some personal stories and pictures too. So I was quite well informed & entertained. Really good experience!

Should be your first stop if new to Romania cuisine. Andreea was amazing. The tour was fun, informative, flexible, and provided a delicious experience.

We had a fantastic tour. The weather was bad but we still all had a great time. Our tour guide Daniela was so knowledgeable and told us the history of the areas. She made sure we got to the destinations on time whilst still having time to take it all in. She also gave us some great tips about where and what to eat which we followed up and was great. I would definitely recommend. All communication was easy and quick. Thank you for a great trip.

Nacho made our trip a wonderful experience, no one would have done better.

He made us a piece of travel, we visited the most characteristic places of the Carpathians and nothing massed thanks to his organization. A super close deal for us to enjoy the trip even more. The best guide I've ever had

I spent a wonderful day with Tudor, visiting these three amazing sites and sharing terrific conversation as well as learning new and exciting information! I totally recommend this tour and his expertise.
