Targu Mures Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Stephen drove carefully! Most important on a trip this long. His depth of knowledge in history was amazing. I found it refreshing. He was flexible with the group and friendly.

Me and my son had an amazing time with Christian he was very kind and helpful in the 3 days we were with him. He took us to all the nice places in Brasov, sighisoara , Sibiu and Cluj and we finished in an amazing salt mineral cave in turda which is unbelievable ! Great experience very recomendable

Christian picked us up from the airport and took us there. He was punctual, uncomplicated in communication and very informative about any subject, especially the history of Romania. Absolute recommendation and gladly again at any time.

Cristian was an excellent tour guide and went above and beyond to make my trip to Tǎrgu Mureş as insightful and interesting as possible. The tour was tailored specifically to what I wanted to see, taking in the historic synagogue, the Romanian Orthodox Cathedral and the Cultural Palace. Cristian even stepped in to pay for some souvenirs when I had run out of lei (paid back with a coffee!). All in all, a fantastic tour which I’d highly recommend. Thanks Cristian!

He is professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and goes out of his way to ensure your experience is once in a lifetime.In addition my bag did not make my connection and he went out of his way to pick it up on the next flight and deliver it to me from Cluj to Târgu Mures.Highly recommend!!

Cristian is an excellent guide. His knowledge of the history of Târgu Mures, past and recent, is excellent. His English is very good, and he can communicate with both Romanian and Hungarian locals. He will show some of the hidden parts of the city. He is very proud of his city.

This was seriously one of the coolest experiences of my life. Me and my friend booked this tour as well as the Salina Turda Salt Mines tour with the same company and it was an amazing experience. Best way to learn the rich history of Transylvania and see stunning remnants of that history. Our tour guide, Calin, was full of information, able to answer all of or ridiculous questions, and really tailored the tour to our interests- including stopping to (attempt to) pet some roadside pigs!

My friend and I decided on a whim to go to Targu Mures for winter break with no plan what so ever. This tour, along with the other tour we did with this company (Footsteps of the Saxons) made the trip for us. We learned so much and go to travel so easily to sights we could not have seen otherwise! So so amazing!
