Fabulous experience! The tour took about 45 to 50 minutes, it was safe and super interesting. Our guide, Maya, was excellent - friendly, humourous and gave lots of information. A very worthwhile tour.

The operator in Iceland was Nordur Travel. The tour booked was in Spanish, but Nordur informed me that it would be a bilingual Spanish-English guide. The Snaefellness peninsula is spectacular and with far fewer people than the Golden Circle or the South Coast. The guide Ioannis, who is Greek, spoke perfect Spanish and made it very enjoyable. We returned delighted

Wonderful experience. Paula was very kind and accommodating. Because of her remarks we followed the visit with a night of Aurora Borealis that was spectacular. Not a lengthy tour, but very much worth it.

Long drive bit very rewarded witht the beautifu things to do and experience. There is a tunnel 6km long that is not mentioned

We booked this the night before because we wanted to make sure it fit into our time line. Glad we did. The weather was rainy and windy and this was "inside". It is convenient to the main road. They gave us helmets and a flash lights. I'd suggest wearing a rain coat because it is dripping in the cave. We were glad we had waterproof hiking boots because the cave floor is wet and uneven The guide explained how the cave was for formed and some folklore . There are some sone spiral stairs to walk up and done and uneven walking so if you have any walking problems this might not be the tour for you It was very interesting and different to do. We have a big limestone cave system where we live so I have done something like this before. The visit was about just under an hour.

Very interesting Discovery how lava works and visit the caves

Very interesting tour with competent explanations about the formation of the cave. The size was fascinating. You can actually see very clearly how and where the lava flowed. The melted rock looks very bizarre.

A must do if in the area! Lukasz was a wealth of knowledge. Aside from the geology and history, he shared some folklore and humor throughout the tour. The 45 minute tour was just the right amount of time. There was care and an atmosphere of safety created. Our group had about a dozen people (including two children) and the size of the group felt perfect. A "highlight" for me was when we all turned our flashlights off and had the chance to experience a moment (or so) of complete darkness. Thank you Lukasz and the entire tour company for allowing us to have a dose of the extraordinary phenomena that our earth provides for us.

We were a party of 13 traveling in Iceland during the recent solar eclipse. WE wanted to tour a lava cave and this one definitely fit the bill. It was a short tour but very informative. The spiral stairs were an interesting and fun addition to the tour. There are three areas that you visit in the cave and each are different. The tour was about 35-45 minutes. We arrived 15 minutes ahead of our tour time, were fitted with helmets and given individual flashlights. There were tours going before and after us so definitely a popular site.

They give you helmets and flashlights and then you wait until the half hour for your tour. The guide brings you down the spiral staircase and you listen to her tell you about everything in the various caverns. She speaks English, Polish, German and maybe other languages too. The cave is 3 degrees Celsius but felt warmer.
