I travelled to Şanlıurfa specifically to see Göbeklitepe, but I did not anticipate just how much I would learn about the depth of history present in the region. Mr. Selim’s deep knowledge and passion for the history of his home made the tour so much better than I imagined. Selim also threw in some really fun experiences like the local bazaar, fresh pistachios and cheeses, tea breaks, special tidbits of information only a longtime local knows, and best of all, quality traditional Turkish restaurant with excellent food. Selim’s professionalism even extended to ensuring I remained comfortable while visiting his city. I hope to come back for additional Neolithic tours with Selim. Thank you, Selim!!

I've been wanting to see Göbeklitepe for two decades, maybe more. If I had to choose one reason to come to Turkey, this was it — and I wasn't disappointed. So Mehmet went above and beyond: he captured stunning shots throughout the day and sent them to me afterward. It was such a thoughtful touch — let me stay fully present without worrying about my phone, without that nagging feeling that I'm watching a place through a screen instead of actually being there.The highlight, though, was when he introduced me to his family in Harran. Meeting them for tea, the traditional beehive house added a deeply personal and authentic connection with my own childhood in Botswana that no ordinary tour could ever offer. He also took me to a local restaurant. You don't expect to find home in Harran, but there it was.Mehmet is incredibly accommodating, answering my endless questions with patience and timing everything perfectly to avoid the crowds. He is calm and present and drives accordingly. Don't miss the chance to take this tour with Mehmet. It's an absolute must-do in this region.

A whole adventure, although we got snow our Guide Serdar Avci helped us walk in it without problem. Gobekli is impressive, the museum interesting, the food you recommended delicious (here they say it is the one they liked the most in the whole trip), the house of Harran is interesting and completely different; but the sacred lake and the Cave of Abraham are too beautiful, very worth the trip. Even Serdar gave us a tour of the bazaar and answered all our questions, he was very patient with the step we could take, over time to take the photos, even took us several. Don’t leave without trying pistachio coffee, it’s just delicious. It's been a wonderful day. Thanks for everything Serdar.

Thanks to Selim’s excellent judgment, the decision was made to go on a different day than originally planned. This ensured not being snowed out. Excellent weather for a lengthy hike. The driver was very safe and it was a comfortable vehicle.

Mr. Selim is a great and helpful guide.He is professional and take good care of the tourist. He made our trip perfect. I had a great time here and get wonderful experiences.

We had our car and therefore it was easy to reach the site, and it was not crowded thanks to the time of the year. The carpark was free but small if you arrive in crowded seasons. Minibuses are available for free from the ticket area to the site location.

The road was a bit long from Sanliurfa but you should not miss visiting Mount Nemrut. It is absolutely fantastic. The only problem we had was that the French-speaking guide we had to replace and we had an English-speaking guide instead.
