Reykjanes Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

I know there’s a lot of doubt when you get to airports in foreign places if something like this would actually work. It does and it’s brilliant!It’s so simple, well organised with great people When you arrive at them is point hub you then get onto smaller buses to travel deeper into the city and if you’re lucky get dropped off right outside your hotelI was introduced to this service by my father many years ago and have used them ever since They even do excursions too. Check them out.

Easiest way to get to the city. Takes 45 minutes to get to the bus terminal from the airport. You still need a transfer bus from the center bus station to your hotel

I wanted to see Iceland during a long layover going home and other tours didn't fit my time. My guide was remarkable balancing what I wanted to do with the time I had and filling in cool tid bits with his extensive knowledge of the area. Iceland is beautiful, I know I need to go back and this professional guide was worth every penny.

Alti was a wonderful guide for us to discover the treasures of the Reykjanes Peninsula. Alti phoned as we were debarking to confirm meeting time and was exactly where he said he would meet us with a spotless, comfortable vehicle. The drive was awe inspiring and narration gave us an appreciation of how the scenery intertwines with everyday life in Iceland. What a stunning introduction to our Iceland stay.

Fantastic experience. Booked a private tour for a layover. Tour picked us up at Keflavik at 6am, toured the Reyskanes peninsula and dropped us off at our hotel at 12pm. Travelled with two kiddos under 5, and three grandparents, and it worked very well. They even provided carseats

Highly enjoyable trip led by the unflappable Heimir, who showed us some beautiful places on the south of Iceland. He was a very informative guide with a ton of knowledge and drove us safely through some challenging weather conditions. The itinerary was well planned with plenty of time at each site and nothing felt rushed. Hotels were clean and comfortable with excellent breakfast choices. We went in late March and the gorgeous winter scenery and constantly changing weather was a real treat. We very much enjoyed Heimir’s good humor and optimism!

Great tour and guide! He was informative and “chased” the lights giving us good views of the Northern Lights. Our guide communicated with us on our original tour date to let us know the weather was not cooperating and asking us to change dates for a better experience. We were grateful for the heads up and appreciated that he wanted to give us the best possible experience. We were impressed with that honesty. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Some fellow hotel mates scheduled a taxi to pick them up at the same time my bus was scheduled, 6 am. Theirs didn’t show and they had to call for another one. In the meantime mine arrived at 6:05 and I was off to the airport. Easy pesy!

Smooth ride from the airport to Reykjavik. Buses are ready to go when you land at the airport. Pick up time was precise and on time. Love that they also have a bus terminal before leaving the city. Cozy chairs, they do lean back for that long trip.

The caves are amazing. You get an opportunity to see the Blue Lagoon but you aren't able to experience the Blue Lagoon.

It was easy to book FlyBus from KEF airport to bus stop nearest your hotel online and ahead of time. However, I booked the return from Reykjavik to KEF on the same day and I did it on my phone without issues. The drivers are friendly and helpful and on-time. I highly recommend them.

The experience with FlyBus was great. Easy to book, clear instructions on pick up. Friendly staff each time. On my way home I left at 3:30am. The bus arrived a couple minutes before, so no need to wait at all. Location of pick up also clear. Will use again when in Reykjavik!

I used the Flybus to get from the airport to my hotel and then from my hotel back to the airport. It was a very convenient way to get to and from the airport and my hotel.
