Top-rated Peru Attractions, Landmarks & More

Our family visited this beautiful place, and we enjoyed every minute of it. What a great place for animals to live! Many animals will be released if they can, and this is a major goal of theirs. However there are also many animals that are now too dependent on people and will live their lives here. While there are enclosures for specific animals, there is so much freedom for them to roam. They also work with other organizations for reproducing animals that are endangered or at risk, such as the spectacled bear and the Andean condor. We got to get so close with these animals, even pet many of them, as they are friendly and obviously happy and well cared for. What an incredible experience! Very kid friendly!!

Very first experience to learn about a variety of things focused on conservation and rescue.

Julio is an excellent tour guide. He had triuble locating us but he and the driver Moreno were very patient and greeted us pleasantly. Julio is very knowledgable. They were very clean and did not use perfumes.. that is greatly appreciated!! The vehicle was also clean and odor free. Thank you Julio and Moreno!

If you are in #Cuzco #Peru go to the Santuario Animal de Cochahuasi.. 30m from town, locals giving a second chance to injured wild animals, returning them to the natural habitats once they are ready and taking care of others that won’t survive out there.

Guides wonderful and filled with wildlife knowledge. Water comfortable with included wetsuit. Sea lions numerous, curious and friendly. Great experience.

We had a terrific experience with our private Cusco sightseeing guide Henre. He was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating to our interests throughout the tour. His English was excellent, and he did a great job explaining the history and culture of Cusco in an engaging way. He also offered to take plenty of photos of us and suggested some excellent locations for pictures along the way.It was clear that he knows Cusco very well and is experienced at what he does. The tour felt personal and well tailored to us, and we would definitely recommend him to others looking for a knowledgeable and personable private guide in Cusco.

We began our visit by watching a short video about the history of this center. Our guide then took us to each of the enclosures where the animals are kept. We saw capybara, agouti, peccary, manatees, macaws, caiman, paiche (giant fish) and turtles. This center is best known for taking in manatees that have either been orphaned or rescued from captivity and preparing them to be released into the wild. We learned a lot and loved that they focus on educating the young children about the wildlife so hopefully future generations will not keep these creatures captive or eat them.

Inmejorable. Samuel es el mejor guía y anfitrión que nos pudo tocar. Tiene información muy interesante. Espectacular paseo.————————————————————————-Unbeatable experience. Samuel was the best guide and host we could have asked for. He shared so much interesting information throughout the tour. Absolutely spectacular experience.

Such a unique experience! We saw lots of birds, penguins and of course, sea lions. Alex was a great guide!

Amazing views make the bus ride from town worth it!

Rainbow mountain was an unforgettable experience! We did not do the whole hike, we took horse up part of the way. This was also an incredible experience. The views up top are breathtakingly beautiful! Many llama picture opportunities when you reach the top as well. Would highly recommend this tour.

This hike was a challenge for me, because I'm a little out of shape, but it was so worth it. Lake Humantay is absolutely beautiful and Leonardo and our driver were skilled in their efforts to deliver us safely to all of the destinations on the tour. The vegetarian breakfast and lunch were delightful. Upon reaching the lake, the shades of brown and teal were a stunning delight against a snow-capped mountain.

Excellent in every aspect, I highly recommend it.

Definitely must see in Peru! Very interesting and amazing view on salt mines and Morey archaeological site!

The day was lovely, and the hike up to the Sun God temple ruins was vigorous but not too much for a 70 year old in fair shape! The view of the ocean made it worthwhile, not to mention standing on sacred ground for the Inca people. The immensity of the archaeological site really struck me; essentially, I learned, all of Lima area is built on top of layers from ancient cultures. To touch the stones that workers used 1000 years ago to build a temple is the best way to learn history. A very good tour! Take sunscreen and water; it is warm and dry there!

Truly a 10/10 experience. This is a real hike so definitely wear hiking shoes and layers. Food and transportation was included which makes everything so much easier. This place is gorgeous!!
