Valerie (tour guide) did the most amazing job as our tour guide!! She was kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable throughout the entire trip. Allowed us to get picture opportunities and memories that we will remember forever. We have taken many trips through Cool Destinations before and this tour was by far the best with the efforts of Valerie. I would highly recommend her as a tour guide for anybody who is planning on embarking on the Road to Hana!

While I was celebrating my 50 birthday in Maui with my husband, we had absolutely incredible experience on the road to Hanna, and John made it truly unforgettable.He was so much more than a tour guy, he was a story teller, a historian and someone who genuinely cared about sharing the beauty and spirit of Hawaii with us.John’s knowledge of Hawaiian history was incredible. The road to Hanna itself was breathtaking ,but having John as our guide made the day truly special. John, thank you for sharing your knowledge, your stories, and your aloha with our family. We will remember this experience for years to come!Thank you John.If you are thinking about taking a road to Hanna, ask for John. He will give you an experience you will never forget!!🌺🏝️❤️

The was a great tour. Lisa was our driver. She was so fun and made extra stops and were able to see places we had not seen. Banana bread, coconuts and chocolate farms. Long day but sp worth it.

We opted for a private tour on the Road to Hana. Our tour guide was Jason. We weren’t sure it would be worth doing it private but it was! We were able to stay longer at some places and skip other places we didn’t want to go to. We had the flexibility to change the itinerary on a private tour. Jason was amazing! He was very knowledgeable of Hawaiian culture and history. He was laid back and had us laughing with his dad jokes. The fruit stand along the way had the freshest fruit and everyone we met were so kind. I definitely recommend this tour and make sure to ask for Jason!!

The road is windy and narrow and had a lot if traffic. Our driver and guide John made it seem easy and safe. He researched all the places, plants, shells and music and made it very informative and also enjoyable. He was obliging and caring of our safety .

A long day, but totally worth the time for sure. The lunch was good, our guide Ed was funny and full of information and the stops were gorgeous.

So first the things I liked: the tour was breathtaking. When we didn't get out, the driver slowed down or stopped so we got to take pictures, which I really appreciated. The tour guide was nice (I'm sorry I couldn't remember his name, long curly/wave dark hair) and gave a lot of fun facts, history and insightful information about Maui and the places we saw. He even took pictures of us at some of the stops which was really nice. We stopped at many gorgeous, stunning locations and had plenty of time to explore and take pictures. We got to stop for delicious ice cream as well as a sweets stand! Overall definitely recommend, we got to see A LOT in just one day. Didn't have to worry about parking, driving, getting lost, it's a really good deal! Now the things I didn't like and hope they improve going forward: so as a solo traveler, whenever I do these tours, since the whole bus is filled with families and couples, they always have me sit up front. It just makes sense.. well for some reason that left me truly baffled, the tour guide split up a married couple, had the husband sit in the front seat and had me sit in the very back.. I was very, very confused. In addition, it's rather difficult to hear the tour guide in the very back, as the speaker is not very loud. At times, you couldn't hear him at all because some people were talking to each other. Anyway.. another complaint is that during the 9-ish hour trip, we were only offered water ONCE at lunch time. When we asked if anyone wanted water, I loudly stated yes please and raised my hand, but he apparently did not hear me so I recieved no water until then next stop when I had to explicitly ask him for a water. I found this to be very odd and I ended up with a headache from the dehydration. I had to dry swallow an excedrin before it turned into a migraine. Not fun.. Another thing was when we stopped at a state park for 1 hour, he told us we'd be having lunch and then we could go explore. I was excited because I was quite hungry. However, a few minutes after walking to the site, the tour guide changed his mind and said actually we'll have lunch at the next stop but we'll keep this stop at an hour still. I was disappointed but what can you do? So I went off exploring. We were told to meet back at the van at 11:30. I, along with two other couples arrived back at the bus at 11:27 to find everyone else had finished their lunch??? So because they didn't want to explore for the full hour, they wanted to sit in the bus and wait, he decided to give them their lunch early? Well if I had known that, I'd have been back earlier. So we had to eat our lunch in a very bumpy, unsteady bus while driving to the next stop. YOU try putting sauce on a wrap in those conditions without making a total mess... it's a bit frustrating, especially having to again eat a meal with no water. It's quite literally in the booking title "lunch, water, chips". It's laughable but honestly it was worrisome because the hot , humid Hawaiian weather really dries you out, especially walking/ hiking around. And my one final gripe: the drop off process. So we finished the tour around 3 and began dropping off people at their hotels. My problem is that he passed by me and a few other guests hotels to get to the other guests hotels first.. listen, I totally understand the logic, first in, first out. HOWEVER, almost 1.5 hours was added onto our trip because he chose to drive all the way to their hotels instead of just dropping people off at which ever hotels are on the way/ come first.. it just didn't make any sense at all to me to drive all the way to one area, just to have to drive all the way back to the first area to drop off other guests. In the future, maybe figure out a way to end the trip closer to the people you pick up first. Why keep multiple guests in the van for almost 90 more minutes instead of just dropping them off..? I struggle to understand. So hopefully these things can be fixed/improved, otherwise it was a great trip.

We had the best day with our guide, Jason! He had tons of knowledge and history to share! We saw surfers while we ate our breakfast at the beach, so many beautiful waterfalls, the black sand beach, red sand beach, and had the BEST Huli Huli Chicken for lunch! He always told us when to have our phones up if there was a view to catch while we were driving, too! I’m so glad we opted for the private tour for just the 4 of us! It was a long day but sooo worth it! Jason also gave us pointers on other spots to visit and gave us an itinerary to follow for Haleakala the next day! Highly recommend!!!

Lepa was an excellent guide. We loved her stories and her willingness to get in as much as possible. Thank you for a great, fun day!!!

Long but worth it. Good stops.(waterfall, park, vegan ice cream, island banana bread and shaved ice). Scenery amazing.

We had an awesome experience with Malia as our tour guide on the road to Hana. She shared a lot of history as well as some memorable stories of the island. She was very courteous and considerate of all tourist on our tour. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in experiencing some unique stops along the way. I especially loved the coffee farm and how coffee is made. I had no idea it was so laborious. Thanks Malia for making our trip more memorable.

Justin was a great guide very knowledgeable gave us lots of history, super friendly and just a great overall experience.

Don't try this on your own. Reserve a tour so you can relax and enjoy the view Plan for rain and hope for sunshine. We enjoyed both.

Most informative! I learned a lot of information not only about Maui but all of the Hawaiian Islands.

Our Road to Hana tour was absolutely amazing! 🌺 Our guide Malu was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience even more memorable. We learned so much along the way and enjoyed every moment. And Miko the doggy passenger was just adorable! Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui! Only one final note- the road is like a roller coaster so you may need Dramamine.. our guide was prepared! 🌴✨

Well worth it we did a lot more than other people on the cruise because we booked with this tour group. Fantastic tour and Justin D. was great. His local knowledge and fun style were amazing.
