An amazing trip. The guide is knowledgeable and very professional. He knows the area and history and imparted an incredible wealth of local and historical knowledge The scenery is absolutely breathtaking-taking everywhere we went. The 4x4 really allows you to see things that driving along the paved roads cannot be experienced

This is a fantastic trip. The views on the mountains are amazing. And we have never seen so many blooming wild flowers in our life. The mountain meadows in June are full with then. Istvan is a very good driver, even on the smallest and steepest paths. And he knows a lot. About the history, local traditions, ecology, biology, geology, the Szekler culture and other things. He speaks fluently English, German, Hungarian and Rumanian. A trip to remember.

Albert István, our driver and also the owner, was simply sensational! He talked a lot during the whole tour. He had history, geography, ethnic knowledge, told stories about plants... during the whole trip, you could feel that he really likes the region we visited with him. We went on roads impassable for a normal person with his SUV and I can only recommend this tour, because you can see much more this way than during a trip on a country road. He also took me to small settlements, to several mountain tops in a few hours, which would have taken several days on foot. He told us about the lives and struggles of the locals, spiced up with his own stories, when a mountain shepherd felled a dry tree right in our path, he immediately jumped out and cheerfully helped him process the wood to a level that allowed us to move on. BRANDED for humanity and flexibility! He was a direct tour guide who was looking out for us all the way, I recommend this kind of tour guide to everyone!

During our Romanian road trip we had the pleasure to stop in Tusnad and spent a marvellous day with our guide, Istvan.His passion and love of nature and the area are obvious from the first moment you meet him. He did such a great job in not only explaining the particularities of the volcanic landscape but also making us feel at ease, relaxed and curious to discover more.If you're in the area, I would HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Carpathian escapes and checking out their extensive offer of activities. We wish we had more time to spend there!

We had a lovely time in August visiting volcano land on e-bikes. Istvan picked us up from our hotel and brought us back there safely. He is very knowledgeable about the region`s history and geophysics, but he is also a very nice person and very pleasant to hang out with. The scenery is spectacular and I we were very impressed both by the lake and by the tinov. It was a wonderful experience and we hope to come back soon. We recommend the region and this tour in particular to everyone that asked

The landscapes as well as the forests we've been through are amazingly beautiful and quiet. It is a real rest for urban souls. The staff, which are young locals, were very keen to make the best of our afternoon. They speak a very good english, smile without commercial purposes and speak without prefabricated sentences but, what is the most important, they really love their place and enjoy sharing it. We have spent a lovely time there. An highly recommend tour.
