This tour completely changed my perspective on tour guides. The guide is exceptionally knowledgeable—not just about the history of the Balkans, but history and general knowledge across the board. His English is excellent, and he also speaks German. He can even break down the fascinating history of words that ended up in this region, including their Greek, French, Arabic, and Turkish roots. You get a genuinely authentic picture of the city. You can ask him literally anything—whether it's about history, languages, local demographics, or historical migrations—and you’ll get a deep, accurate explanation. What makes the experience even better is his fantastic interaction with the group, along with his healthy, open-minded worldview. On top of that, he gives excellent local tips and points you toward the best spots in town. I highly recommend booking his tour as soon as you arrive in the city!

We had such a great walking tour with Aleksandar! He was super energetic, honest and really easy to listen to. His knowledge goes way beyond just Skopje and Macedonia. He shared so many interesting facts and stories that we honestly kept learning new things the whole time. We asked A LOT of questions and he answered every single one properly and with so much knowledge. You can really tell he genuinely loves what he does. Definitely recommend him if you’re visiting Skopje!

We had such a great time on our tour! I brought some friends from USA and booked this tour with Aleksandra. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience feel really special. She was passionate about what she was doing and my friends and I had a great experience with her. She knew a lot and taught my friends some history about Ohrid. We truly enjoyed every moment and would definitely recommend Aleksandra to others.

Last week we did the wine tasting with BBQ. Super cozy with nice company and delicious wines. Beautiful view over the lake and the sunset. Definitely recommended if you want to have a relaxed evening!

Elena offers a wonderful insight to the history of the rebuilding of Skopje after the 1963 earthquake and the role of Kenzo Tange who developed the master plan for the redevelopment. If you love Brutalist architecture you will love this tour. You get to see some of the finest examples of Yugoslav Brutaliam.

Amazing experience, what can j say more truly recommended

Magical location. Lovely hosts. The Balkans are exceptional for food, wine and hospitality (maybe because they have not had everything degraded by capitalism, maybe because of the strong family culture and maybe because of the weather) This is right at the top of our experience of Macedonia. Public transport is not fabulous in Macedonia, but we had a lovely driver who mentioned this place. Within minutes, he had called the hosts arranged for us to visit. I think they are very busy, but kindly fitted us in. What a memorable experience! We sat amongst sparkly lights, outdoors and there was so much effort and value in the food and wine before we even got to the rakjia. I honestly wondered what I had done to deserve this. A top experience with our children and nephew that I will value always. If you want to know about the rakjia, you will have to try it. You will not be disappointed.

I really enjoyed this tour! It was one of the highlights of my visit to Macedonia. We couldn't visit the Millennium Cross because the city closed the cable car to renovate it but that meant spending more time in the Matka Canyon which I was more excited about, so it was fine for me. The Panteleimon Monastery was beautiful and it had a gorgeous view. Matka as well was a beautiful place. I would recommend taking the long boat tour once you're here. Petar, the guide, was awesome and very kind. You'll be lucky to meet him if you book the tour. Definitely recommended!
