Kununurra 2026 Calendar of Events

Had a lovely day on the fast boat. Our tour guide Chris was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we got to experience as much as possible on the tour. Beautiful sunset was a great way to finish the tour.

I had a lovely day , from start to finish it went smoothly . It's an absolutely beautiful part of Australia . Highly recommend to do this cruise .

Booked a bird and wildlife tour with Steve from Silent Tours and it turned out to be an absolute highlight of our trip! Steve is passionate, friendly and knowledgeable and allows you to really connect with nature in a peaceful tour amongst magnificent landscapes, flora and fauna. Gliding silently up vegetation-lined creeks meant really getting close to birds and wildlife without disturbing them. A magical experience I would highly recommend to anyone, and especially to birders!

Fantastic experience exploring the Ord River (Lake Kununurra)! Thanks to Chris and Leigh our tour guides for their knowledge of the area and history of the dam and creation of Lake Argyle. Plenty of bird life and crocodile spotting.

I had an amazing day, the commentary on the plane whilst flying over the Ranges was really relevant and interesting. The homemade muffin 😋 then Tony, our guide, did a fantastic job. Definitely recommended this tour. The lunch was great too.

I really enjoyed this cruise. The guide was fenomenal. He knew so many things and he was funny too.

Great experience. Cathedral Gorge well worth the walk. Tony was a great guide who knew a lot, had plenty of stories and was patient and safe. Hayden the pilot did a top job despite inevitable turbulence on the return leg.

2 day and 1 night at Savannah Lodge. Great trip. Booked thru Kununurra visitors centre. Highly recommend. Well organised with great communication. Flight out and back beautiful with great commentary and photo opportunities for both sides of plane. Tour guides fab as was vehicle. Food at Lodge was great as were picnic lunches. All inclusive. All staff very friendly. Pool great post hot day of walking. Would recommend spending time here rather than El Questro Station if had to choose.

Flight from Kununurra, cathedral gorge and echidna chasm day tour. Was an excellent tour - great flight by pilots Deli and Haydn Tour guide Emma was fantastic. Plenty of time allocated. Walks quite manageable if you have no hip or knee problems . Important to see both sights even though they are separated by a very very bumpy 50 km gravel road. Morning, afternoon teas and lunch good. Bonus breakfast roll on arrival in bungles and opportunity for a swim ( bring bathers) in resort pool at the end (neither of these were mentioned in the itinerary). Well organised. Great tour - we had and early night and slept well.

So close to town and beautiful and with great sign boards.. It was gorgeous to sit still for a while and notice, listen to and watch the birds, and listen for the land to speak to the heart.

Great information and lovely few hours with a varied tour

What a fabulous tour. Chris' knowledge and storytelling skills were wonderful - a fantastic way to spend a morning at this fabulous centre. A great example of what can be done by people working together - this is a must do on everyone's visit to Kununurra.

We really enjoyed this day trip out on lake Kunanurra to the Ord river dam. The guide Chris did a great job piloting the boat as well as being an entertaining and informative guide. He also set up a quite good lunch on the riverbank. I'd highly recommended this day trip when you're in Kunanurra.
