Divine dolphin and whale tour
Sierra and Roberta are terrific! Their extensive knowledge of Costa Rica’s marine life, and their dedication to preserving it, is unparalleled. We had two terrific days with them, with up close sightings of a female humpback and her calf, pods of spotted dolphins, olive Ridley turtles and more. This tour is not to be missed!

Fabulous whale and dolphin adventure!
Sierra is wonderful to work with and her crew members are absolutely fantastic!! We loved our experience so much, we went 3 times in one week! We saw whales and dolphins and even got to get in the water each day for an incredible swim. Delicious snacks and lunch were served and there’s always plenty of fresh, cold water. The crew are very knowledgeable and taught us so much. There is even a hydrophone that was put in the water so we could hear the whales singing. Truly magical! I highly recommend this group to do your whale and dolphin watching with.

Incredible experience!
If I could give this tour 10 stars, I would. Granted, we were very lucky and saw tons of whales, including a baby and her mama, the whole experience was just great. Sierra and here team were lovely and so informative. My favorite part was listening to the whales on the hydrophone, and we were even allowed to get into the water and swim and we could hear the whales singing under water. Truly bucket list experience. I went by myself and met lovely people on the tour and the crew was just so nice. They provided water and snacks and lunch which were very yummy. 10/10 recommend!

Great experience
What a wonderful day out on water! They do their best to find dolphins and boy did the dolphins perform for us. They were jumping and racing the boat; the water was crystal clear. We even got to jump and in and swim with them.

A great experience. I...
A great experience. I have been before with Divine Dolphin and it always delivers. We got to see plenty of dolphins and even some Bryde whales. There’s even an opportunity to take a dip during a break. Highly recommended.

Truly unique experience.
Such a wonderfully unique experience.
Thank you deeply for providing such a professional service.
The specialised work you have been completing in this area for the past 30 years is inspiring to me.
It was a true privilege to explore the natural life of the whales and dolphins with guidance of such a passionate team.

Best Natural Dolphin Experience Ever
The best natural experience you will ever have with dolphins in their natural habitat. it was amazing to see so many dolphins having fun and being completely free from human trained behaviors. The guides Cierra, Tina, and the Captain Alex were amazing and very informative. It was so much fun watching the dolphins interact with the wake from the boat. They do get pretty close but keep their distance as well. The snacks were great and the vegan lunch was tasty to even though I’m No vegan. It was an experience you will never forget, Please tip them so they can keep this experience going.

Amazing experience
It's an amazing experience. We saw many dolphins, spotted and bottlenose ones, jumping, playing, hunting fishes with lots of tuna and birds on the water. We also saw sea turtle 4 times and a sea snake. It's so nice to jump into the water. The salad during lunch was delicious. Many thanks to Sierra and your team who are quite passionate and qualified marine educated. Highly recommend.

Dolphins and Pseudo Orcas
Most of the dolphins were chilling because they just had a big “full moon dinner” but we were lucky enough to run into a school of pseudo orcas. Big guys. 15 ft. Very playful and vocal, especially when they found a food source. Sierra was clearly happy to have encountered them too. Special thanks to Tina, the marine biologist with a wealth of knowledge.

Fabulous excursion with great success!
Everything about this excursion was enjoyable! The boat was so comfortable and we were even served snacks and a delicious vegetarian lunch! The guide was so knowledgeable and sweet and her and Sierra and the boat captain all worked hard to find us lots of sightings of beautiful sea life! We saw three different types of dolphin, including a pod of hundreds and hundreds of spinner dolphins. We stayed with them for over an hour. We also saw cool sea turtles floating on the surface. It was just even lovely to be out on a boat! Everyone was just so very nice! Highly recommend

Divine
Absolutely awe inspiring experience. We were surrounded by 5 humpback whales, one being a newborn. Massive , beautiful creatures right beside the boat. This is our 4th excursion with Divine Dolphins and each time is different yet equally magnificent!

Great day watching playful whales and Dolphins
This was by far the best experience of my trip. Seeing a momma and baby whale up close and watching the baby play was a one in a lifetime experience. They picked me up in Drake Bay and we headed out. We found the whales quickly and our guide was very informative. Then we went in search of dolphins. They'd just had a big feed and were resting. Not as playful as they could've been, but still fun to watch. We had lunch by a waterfall and then returned to the whales. By now the baby was restless and playful. She put on a good show of rolling onto her back, slapping her dorsal fin and tail.

Good, but....
Pros: we saw dolphins. Road out for a long time, hoping to catch spinner dolphins but it was not meant to be. We did hang out with spotted dolphins which was very special.Lunch and snack provided was good. The young guide (did not catch her name) was very good. She was genuine and shared the typical Costa Rican warmth that we had experienced so far in our 4 week trip.Cons: no whales. I wasn't really expecting any though, based on the description from another company. I chose this one because it was a longer tour, thereby increasing the chances of seeing them and more dolphins. The description also convinced me that their expertise would be a huge plus. Once you sign up, they send you the disclaimer that you may not see it all, which I totally understand, having been on many nature tours. Nature decides what it does or doesn't do.I think it would have been more relaxing if the owner, Sierra wasn't there. She was introduced as having 30 years experience and how she was instrumental in making changes in CR to protect the dolphins. I am very happy to hear that! However, she was very abrupt how she spoke to the guests about standing. Her concern was not for safety reasons but so everyone could see. I would normally agree with this except being short, I could not see above the bow. I'm not sure why everyone couldn't stand and enjoy the dolphins. It would have also been beneficial to put the boat sideways to the dolphins rather than having them constantly in the front of the boat, so that only those in the very front being able to film them. I missed some incredible shots because of this. The saying "you remember how people made you feel" stands true. Her attitude did not portray the typical Costa Rican warmth that we had come to expect. I haven't looked at my photos yet but I'm hoping I got a few good ones to make up for how I feel after the 6 hour trip.

Incredible!!!! just boook it!
My husband and I went on the tour on 1/14. We didn't see any whales that day however we got up close with some fascinating psuedo orcas that hadn't been seen in 6 months and a good size pod of dolphins!
The pseudo orcas were swimming right up to the boat and we got so many great videos and pictures of them. They were amazing!!.
I loved the tour, and the only major regret that I had was not booking the same tour 2 days in a row lol.
