Boquete Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Our guide was outstanding. He walked us through the entire process of organic coffee harvesting and roasting, and we even got to roast and take home our own bags of coffee.There is such care in farming the coffee ethically and gently, in paying fair wages for workers, and in innovating ways to use the whole coffee cherry. I was inspired, and now I am also a bit buzzed from all the samples.

You can roast your own coffee picking etc! Super informative tour, so much fun and interesting information! And very nice to be able to do the whole process from plant to roasted coffee bean yourself.

It was a delightful day exploring the Boquete area. We stopped at a coffee shop/farm for a drink at the beginning of the tour, then headed to a beautiful waterfall. Our tour guide, Laura, was very informative and gave us several photo opportunities. We were given a tutorial of how to use the bike before heading out.

In Boquete you have many places to visit. Restaurants from gourmet to typical food. The Central Park is an attraction where you can walk along the Paseo de los Novios, then eat delicious Italian ice cream or some strawberries and cream, all in a mountain atmosphere, from cool to cold. In Jaramillo, Boquete, you can visit different markets with crafts.

We were picked up in downtown Boquete, after which we made a short drive to the coffee plantation.The coffee tour was a lot of fun to follow. Our guide, Albert, explained with great enthusiasm and in fluent English everything about the plantations, the coffee beans and the whole process of making coffee. We were also allowed to carry out all the steps in the process ourselves. As a highlight we were even allowed to roast our own bag of coffee beans, which we were allowed to take home.We ended up with a tasting session. Here we tasted the same coffee that was made in different ways. To our great surprise, we really tasted a lot of difference between these cups of coffee from the same beans. We also got to taste the famous Geisha!At the end of the tour we were very happy to have done this. Highly recommended!

The ride was awesome. We used to live in Boquete but never did this tour while living here. We were back down for a week and decided to do the tour. The bikes were great, the guide was outstanding and the ride was beautiful up the hills above downtown Boquete. If you are in town, take this tour.

Great 2 hour experience with Laura riding around Boquete. It’s a fun and relaxing ride with some beautiful scenery. The final smoothie stop was delicious 😋

What. Wonderful tour of the coffee farm. We enjoyed it so much. We got to go through the process of picking coffee all the way to the roasting steps. It was hands on. Our guide was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic and answered all questions we had! We got to taste different kinds of coffees e different brewing methods. We even got to take a bag of coffee home that we toasted ourselves! I highly recommend this tour. A small family owed farm and they really take pride in what they do!

My wife and I truly enjoyed this activity. We were picked up from the shop in town, and driven to the farm. I recommend going to the shop instead of taking a taxi to the farm. The tour was amazing! I enjoyed learning the coffee making process, and how this farm functions. Our guide, Albert, was able to communicate perfectly in English and even French. He explained and had us physically experience different parts of the coffee making process. My two favorite parts of the tour were roasting my own coffee beans and the tasting session. Once the tour was over, we were dropped back off at the shop. I'm not sure how the other tours are, but I really appreciated how the small group gave us opportunities to ask questions and time to understand the process. What a cool company run by some cool people! I highly recommend making this part of your trip to Bochete.

This was a great experience. I don't like coffee, but I found this tour very interesting and informative. Being able to roast our own coffee and take it home was a great souvenir. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the coffee tasting. I especially enjoyed the Geisha (which is proper Geisha coffee, unlike what you would find in the local coffee shops).

It was an amazing tour. Albert was amazing we LOVED all of it. We didnt see in the email to meet in the town at the Finca Casanga outlet store to get driven up to the a dual farm. But they dropped us back and the driver was awesome. The coffee roasting and making was just amazing. Geisha coffee making was awesome. Everything was superb. Do this coffee tour for sure.

First our driver came an picked us up at the office. Very friendly. On the way to the farm, he gave us a little history about coffee and the area. Arrived at the farm and introduced us to Albert. WOW. Albert knows his coffee. Not only that he explained it three languages. He went thru the process step by step and did not miss a beat: German, French & English All in one tour

We enjoyed this tour very much. The owner was so friendly and inviting and we enjoyed our conversation with him. The tour itself was wonderful. The perfect balance of information and enjoyment. The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable.

Fantastic tour! Our guide Albert was extremely knowledgeable about the coffee making process. It was amazing to learn all about different types of coffee and how it goes from cherries on the tree to a brew in your cup! We loved the tasting of the different styles of brewing but the highlight was definitely roasting our own beans to take home. So much fun!
