Blue Mountains Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

Our trip to the Blue Mountains was so great! Our guide was so great. He helped point out things all along the way and made sure everyone was having a great experience!

Kunal was a really great guide. Super informative. However, the seats over the shuttles wheels were not great and too constricted. Maybe consider changing the seat configuration for more comfort. Loved all of the stops on the tour. The animal experiences were exceptional. I'd highly recommend the tour.

Having been in Sydney some 10 years ago we decided it was worthy of another visit, not much has changed. We were pleasantly surprised when we researched a private tour to the mountains that they do that one. Last time was on a bus, this time we saved up a little more money to afford a private trip. It is well justified as you get the maximum from the day, particularly having Dave. He took us to lots of different places in the mountains to last time and the entire day was viewing beautiful scenery , particularly liked going off track down to the Megalong Valley for lunch stopping off at Govetts Leap. Another grand day.

We got lucky and scored Dave to be our nominated guide on the day for a tour just for our family. We didnt want to be held up by others as our time was limited. We were with my Mum who is 80 years old and our 10 year old daughter. Dave took great care with us all and ensured we did all the main sights, at times to miss the busy times. We got to Scenicworld first thing , which was so good, we beat all the buses and virtually had all the rides to ourselves. It costs $65 each but is fully worth it, a once in lifetime experience. The scenes and vcanyons are all blue tinged by the eucalptus which makes the air so fresh. Our whole day was made so good by Dave and he drove us home safely. What a magic day !

This was the highlight of my one-week trip to Sydney! Craig took our small group to off-the-beaten paths where no other tourists go so we had the places to ourselves. He’s also a wealth of information as far as Australia’s history. Seeing kangaroos in the wild was pretty awesome and the wine and snacks at dusk were the perfect way to cap off the day. Highly recommended to adventure-seeking folks!

Craig knows this area so well, a fantastic guide. The perfect trip for us, nice group too mixed ages. It was great to see views from the path less trodden. I managed his most "challenging paths " and I'm no spring chicken. Fantastic pies for lunch,and I even had a choice of vegetarian options . There are options to buy anyt else cakes, snacks coffee juice at this cafe. Thrilled to see some wild kangaroo at the end of our tour, nice range of snacks and glass of wine , Ladies incase you wonder there are several decent loo options so very civilised.

Fab day biking all the best sites of the Blue Mountains. Sam was an organised guide who gave great info on the area. Tracks were easy to follow using the pins Sam sent and a great day biking was had by all!

We had the most amazing day! Blue Mountains Biking Adventures were easy to deal with, extremely helpful and informative of everything we wanted to see and do, they were super friendly and efficient. We would highly recommend this adventure to anyone wanting to get back to nature and explore the mountains.

You could not do better than a private tour. They make the day to your preferences and even did a late 10am pick up for us and was no trouble to return late. We wanted some easy hikes on this trip and Darren knew exactly where it was safe and easy, hiked down to the waterfall and into some thick bush to explain all the trees as we are naturist. We did so much , an excellent day. At scenicworld we had 2 hours, usually only one hour aswe did the train 4 times and had longer on the valley board walk with Darren explains it all as we walked.

Had a fantastic time on this guided tour. Breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains. Fun feeding of kangaroos at the Featherdale Wildlife Park. And our guide Kunal gave very interesting and fun knowledge and information. Strongly recommend this guided tour if you are thinking of visiting the Blue Mountains.

Nice full day tour to beautiful blue mountains. Highlight was the guide Kat, who has encyclopedic level knowledge of the area giving interesting and humorous stories the entire trip. Lunch at the fairmont golf course was tasty with plenty of options.

Fantastic organized day trip and amazing driver guide Rocky!

Rocky was doing it all as our tour guide! He greeted us by name and addressed everyone by name during the tour (13 people). He was driving as well as giving a presentation (with visuals) on Australian culture, botany, history, geography, food, and much more. The van was clean and comfortable and had cold water, wifi, and charging ports. He made sure to think ahead so those of us that needed accommodations had the best options. He gave us tips and tricks along the way as well as recommendations for lunch in Leura. We got to try a kangaroo burger! He made sure to give us plenty of time at our stops and made the process so easy by getting our tickets ahead of time. We loved the all inclusive pricing (minus lunch). It was so cool to see all the Australian wildlife too! If you want the best of the Blue Mountains, book with Rocky!

This was a great way to see the Blue Mountain. Graig skipped the crowds and took us to spots not only are less traveled but with breathtaking views. We had plenty of time to enjoy and scenic sights and taking photos at each spot, we hiked, walked, relaxed, and laughed together. Was an amazing experience.
