Benahavis Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

The experience was great and so was Martin, our tour guide. Very fun and challenging, would def on canyoning again.

The crew starts the tour with instructions and techniques, safety, etc. Then when one arrived to the water the fun begins and the views just get better by the minute.

Voted 'the best thing we did on holiday' by my teens ... and I couldn't agree more!Juan Antonio was a fabulous guide, making it tons of fun and making sure we were safe whilst doing it! He took lots of photos of our experience which was nice to have!Things we think you should know.... Take the 9am slot! Its so much better when theres just you and your small group navigating your way down the river. We could see all the other groups on our walk back up and it looked busy! Hire the shoes! There are slippy rocks at points as expected & I'm not sure normal trainers would cut it! You don't have to do the jumps! If you don't fancy one you don't have to do it.... theres always a lovely swim as an alternative!Apparently we just HAVE to go back next year! So Juan Antonio and the TUUR team.... we'll see you next year! :-)

We had a very good time, in a natural environment

A fantastic experience for myself and my 11 year old son. The perfect level of challenging for us, I would say for an 8 year old you would need to be very capable as need to abseil down a 4m dam and it’s hard work at times swimming through but a fantastic experience I would and have recommended to anyone!

Serious fun, but more strenuous than expected. The guide was truly fantastic with other guests and another young guest. I was completely impressed with him and his approach to the entire group. Just note, a lot of swimming. Also, no snacks or drinks. I do t think the wayer fountain at the end should count as drinks. Although no snacks or drinks, I still rate it a five star experience. Just ear more before you come, as you’ll need the energy xx

Martin was a great guide and the overall experience was awesome!

Honestly, this is one of the best experiences I have ever done. I took my 6, 8 and 10 year old on this experience and they had the time of their lives. Our tour guide, Andreas (who was brilliant), helped me with my 6 year old and took the most incredible pictures throughout the experience. The communication and meeting point were so helpful. From swimming through stretches of river, jumping off of rock faces, abseiling and admiring the frogs-every part of this was incredible. Thank you for accommodating us after the debacle of an emergency hospital visit on the original day of booking- I am incredibly grateful the kids could still experience this.

This is the best experience and if you can do it then definitely do! We did it with our sometimes tentative 7 year old but he did all but one of the jumps and the abseiling! Our guides Juan and Marco were fabulous, so much fun, knowledge and care and their energy was brilliant! We cannot wait to do this again! What views, the scenery was spectacular!

It has been a total success. Great, and I had a fantastic time. The guides, África, Sandro, and the other guy (oops, I don't remember his name) were a 10.

I would highly recommend this trip! The team made us feel incredibly safe while still delivering a truly exciting and adventurous experience. I did it with my son, and we both had the time of our lives. It was an unforgettable experience from start to finish, and I can’t recommend it enough!
