Akureyri 2026 Calendar of Events

The zip lines were easy to access and ride even for those with limited abilities. The guides were super. Being able to share the experience the activity with the whole family was very special.

This was a nice relaxing stop in our day! Everything was very nice from check in to the. I’ve locker rooms and lagoon.

Our guide Anton and driver Axel were great! The narrative was as enjoyable as the stops. Great job! I definitely recommend this tour with them.

Our guide was funny, informative and told us all about the history of the surf houses and the waterfall. The coach was comfortable and the driver very good.

This was SO needed during our long camping trip in Iceland! The facilities are so nice and clean. The pool is expansive and picturesque, and the bracelet system makes everything so convenient. We loved every second and thought it was great value!

We had a great experience. We got to see 2 whales (humpback and a minkie) on September 9 at the 1:15pm time slot. Our guides were amazing. Their excitement for seeing these beautiful animals only made our experience even more wonderful. They were very educational and taught us a lot of interesting facts about the animals but also birds, and the bay itself. Highly recommend!

Incredible guide and incredible journey. Would do this again in a heartbeat. Loved the insight into Icelandic culture on top of the gorgeous places.

Well organized, good explanation beforehand, good material on board to stay warm and dry, enthusiastic and expert guide/marine biologist.. and lucky with a bit of sun and 5! Whales. Top.

Seeing whales is not guaranteed, but we got lucky and saw a few. Boat/tour staff was knowledgeable and friendly. There is about 45 minute boat ride one way so be prepared. Probably 2/3 of the people on our ride got seasick. And while staff was prepared with bags for those that got sick it could be a lot to watch so many get sick around you. Staff did a good job checking on those getting sick and tending to everyone’s needs.

We actually did 5 different zip lines and it was awesome! Our guides were knowledgeable and lots of fun! Well worth it!

We went in off season so only saw 2 whales but we saw dolphins and amazing jellyfish-I know it sounds weird but they were beautiful and so different. The guides were amazing and so caring when people got sick the whales we did see were awesome!!!

Great tour. Guide was very knowledgeable. The practice of making us put in a minimum of 100 characters is a load of crap.

Great trip! Saw three humpbacks, pretty close to us. They even provided cookies, coffee and hot chocolate.

I can never express how much my husband and I enjoyed this experience. We fell in love with this breed of horses! The views were truly magical and the guides were phenomenal. I was celebrating the end of chemotherapy and the guides/owners made sure it was a perfect experience. I cried when it was over because of how truly caring these people were. I’d rate this a million on a scale from 1 to 10.

This was a really wonderful experience. While it was fun to visit the local places, from a hot dog stand to a fine dining restaurant with lamb, the real special thing about this tour was Ava our guide. Sitting down & eating with someone who was born, raised, & still lives in the town you are visiting gives you a chance to talk to them & find out about life there for locals. Ava has had some great experiences and thoughts to share from working on farms, to university life, to current Icelandic politics. It was a wonderful way to spend our mid-morning & helped us prepare for the rest of our time in town.

We got to see Whales , seals and puffin birds. We learned a lot and the tour lady told us a lot about the area and the wildlife, very interesting.
