I had a wonderful experience hiking to Malý Ľadový štít. Marcel is a fantastic guide, friendly, patient, kind and professional. He has extensive knowledge of the history and names of peaks, mountain lakes, flowers, etc. He also took photos the whole time. I recommend the tour to everybody who likes hiking and is a bit experienced.

It wasn't a planned trip for me and i just decided to go one day before and i can tell you it is totally worth it and it became a memorable life experience for me. For thoes who are adventurous and like wildlife and nature, this is the trip for you with no doubt. Erik was so awesome in explaining all the details and he has plenty of interesting information about bears, wildlife and Tatra mountains !It was my first time doing such a 19 KM hike up to 700 m above sea level, i totally recommend this trip for thoes who are physically fit and can walk for hours. Based on my analysis, It is an intermediate difficulty trip not an easy one.We have seen plenty of deers and a single intermediate-size bear 🐻 at the end of the trip. (At least we were lucky to see one)

My wife and I are from Singapore. We booked a bear watching hike with Erik in the Tatras mountains. Erik is an excellent guide who clearly cares a lot about the mountains and the animals living there. He speaks fluent English and is very friendly and knowledgeable. The binoculars which he provided to us for the hike were very good and we could see the bears through the lenses very clearly. We felt safe at all times, in large part because Erik ensured we practiced good bear watching etiquette. The hike itself was also very enjoyable as there were wild blueberries to eat along the way. The whole hike took about 8 hours. We saw 4 bears, a lone female and a mother with 2 cubs. Erik shot great videos which he shared with us after the trip. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves hiking and animals.

We had a wonderful experience hiking to Končistá. The entire trip was carried out in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, making it enjoyable from start to finish. Throughout the ascent, we were rewarded with breathtaking views of the High Tatras and the surrounding landscape.Everything went smoothly, the route was well managed, and we always felt comfortable and safe. A big thank you to Marcel, Danka, and Michal for their professionalism, great company, and positive attitude.I can wholeheartedly recommend a hike to Končistá with Marcel, Danka, and Michal to anyone looking for an unforgettable mountain experience with stunning scenery and excellent guidance.

Good guide very knowledgeable paid a lot of money though

The bear tour with Erik was a lot of fun. He kindly picked us up from our vacation spot and brought us back there, so we didn't have an extra trip. We were equipped with binoculars and walked up a really beautiful hiking trail. In the process, Erik kept giving us useful and interesting information about the forest, the mountains, but above all the bears. Although it was very hot on our day and it therefore took a while until we could see animals, Erik did not give up on looking for a bear with us, which we were then actually able to watch eating blueberries. It also helped that the group was kept very small so that time was taken for all questions and comments. It was an entertaining and very beautiful day in the High Tatras.

On July 29, 2026, I took part in the ascent of Satan. Mountain guide Marcel Kubinský is a professional who places the utmost emphasis on safety, composure, and professionalism. The hike was perfect—an experience of a lifetime.

Trip was beautiful, what is not surprising in Slovak mountains. Due to guides and guys who joined us it was also pleasant day. Guides are very proffesional, friendly and natural. Everything went perfect.

Our group of four had an amazing day on the Via Ferrata in Veľký Kyseľ Slovak Paradise with Marcel, and it became the highlight of our holiday.It was our first time ever on a via ferrata, and this one was a great choice – manageable for us as beginners as well as technically exciting with beautiful nature views. A big thanks for this amazing experience to our via ferrata guide – Marcel. We got inspired for more via ferratas in the future.Marcel is an exceptionally professional, knowledgeable and caring mountain guide. He made us feel safe and confident throughout the whole trip while creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with his great sense of humour. He shared so many stories about the history of the area, as well as its flora and fauna, which made the experience much more than just a hike.As rather introverted people, we especially appreciated how easy and comfortable Marcel was to interact with. We never felt rushed or pressured, and he was always attentive, supportive, but at the same time relaxed during the moments when we were just enjoying nature in silence.A lovely bonus was that he also took and shared beautiful photos from the day, which was more than we expected and something we really appreciated.Even days later we kept saying, "Marcel told us this..." or "Marcel showed us that...", which says a lot about the lasting impression he made.We all returned home with wonderful memories and would wholeheartedly recommend Marcel to anyone looking for a professional, friendly and passionate mountain guide. The tour was physically tough, but the view is worth it. Our guides Ferko and Danka were very kind and supportive. The tour took 10.5 hours, including a break at Teryho Chata on the way back. We were a group of 7 people + 2 guides. It was really nice to share experiences among other people who like hiking. Admission fee is adequate. Comunnication with Mr Kubinsky is really nice and fair. We would totally recommend the tour to those who like hiking and are physically fit.

A truly fantastic, unique and memorable trip! We have spent three unforgettable days conquering 2 mountains and ferratas. Marcel was a great guide, perfectly balancing between challenging us, but also adjusting everything to our needs. I have never felt more like Bilbo Baggins going on an adventure, following the wise Gandalf :)

First day we climbed Svistovy Stit, it was the perfect introduction. Both a challenging hike but very rewarding. Our tour guide Marcel, perfectly adapted the pace and difficulty to our group's abilities. The second was the Rysy summit. This was also incredible, particularly the very peak where we had the best views of the entire trip. The third day was more relaxing with Via Ferrata, which was perfect after two days of intensive hiking. It was also maybe the most fun! All in all, I couldn't recommend this enough !

Marcel is a brilliant guide who genuinely knows the High Tatras like they’re part of his daily rhythm. You can tell straight away this isn’t seasonal experience for him, it’s years of being out there constantly, reading the mountains, weather, and conditions in real time and adjusting everything so the days run smoothly and safely without ever feeling forced.We ended up doing three full days back to back: Svišťový štít, Rysy, and then Ferrata Kysel’ over in Slovak Paradise. Each day had a completely different feel. Rysy especially is a big one, one of the highest accessible peaks in the Tatras at just under 2,500m, and it really gives you that long sustained climb with a proper summit payoff. Svišťový štít felt quieter but still very “real mountain” in terms of effort and terrain.Then Ferrata Kysel’ was almost a reset in style, moving through a gorge system with ladders, water, and rock walls instead of long alpine ascent. It’s the kind of route that feels playful compared to the height gain of the Tatras, but still technical enough to keep it exciting.One thing I’d honestly say for anyone planning something similar: stacking days like this is very doable, but it’s intense. Some of the hikes are around 20–21 km with close to 1,000m of elevation gain (Svišťový štít), and doing that repeatedly back to back catches up with you. Although I found it okay, for the average person it may be better to either pick one main objective per day or build in a recovery day in between so you can actually enjoy each route rather than just pushing through fatigue.

We had a great experience with Erik. We went with rented E-bikes on tour to see bears. Erik organized all and was really helpful in preparing. We met at 5am and started our tour. It was great, the beautiful calm nature. And we saw a female bear and her three cubs. It was amazing. Erik filmed it for us and sent the film after the tour to us. We also saw deers. It was so impressing. Erik told us a lot about bears and Tatra. We learned a lot and had fun. At the end of the trip we visited a beautiful waterfall. Finally we finished in a restaurant for coffee and cake. Thanks a lot for the trip and all the organisation! Marco and Myschka
