Top Mostar Art Classes

This was a great activity in Mostar. Particularly on a rainy day. We had a choice of pieces to make and a practice piece to get used to the hammering needed. We also got authentic Bosnian coffee and heard all about the copper history of the town. Would recommend!

This jewelry making workshop was one of my favourite parts of visiting Mostar. Everyone in the studio was so kind and Denis was not only a great teacher, but also lovely to chat with and shared some book recommendations with me (and let me purchase one from the studio—thanks again!) . I would absolutely come back here :)

My friend and I had a blast. The teacher was professional and kind. We learned about the process of coppersmithing and had Bosnian coffee prepared for us. We really enjoyed ourselves and now have jewelry pieces to remind us of the time together.

You don't need to be a tourist to enjoy this class. It is fun, easy, and you get to learn a lot about the copper design process. Any crafter would love it here.When we went, it was just my husband and I. Our guide gave us an overview of the science and art tips involved and then we were free to create. They even gave us a practice strip of metal to develop a little technique before you jump into you actual piece. Our instructor also gave us some Bosnian coffee to sip on.One thing I really appreciated, however, was how much AbrakaBakra honored their lineage of teachers. You can see a consistent chain of teachers and students that goes back before the war. They have a sign that gives that history. It was nice to know this really is a technique that has been local for a long, long time.Pro tip: bring cash. As much as you love your little creation, you are going to really love the art/ jewelry already made in store. We actually had to go back to our hostel to get a few more bucks to cover the pieces we were most in love with. SO worth it :)

We arrived shortly before the class as a walk in to see if there was any availability and were greeted with great hospitality. The instructor was very thorough in his explanation of the process and the history of the craft. The activity takes roughly 2 hours and we were delighted with the bracelets we made.

Wonderful workshop, fun and engaging, absolutely a must experience in Mostar!! We together with another couple all made bracelets and the teacher was super down to earth and helpful, he offered us coffee and tea and explained all the steps in detail!

Wonderfull experience. We had very good explanations form Amir who is a very nice person. We could see all the fabrication process, it was very interesting. Amir gave us some good tips to visit in the region as well. See you soon

It was up to 38 degrees with a lot of sun, and it was a bit challenging to cope with the weather for us Norwegians. Luckily, jewelry storage was so fun that we forgot how hot it was. This was an activity that we can highly recommend. It was incredibly nice and we also got tried Bosnian coffee!

Was a great experience, had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Highly recommend, and everyone was very knowledgeable and kind. It was amazing to see how well the bracelets turned out.

This experience was so much fun and very educational to learn about Bosnian copper jewelry-making. Our facilitator, a local artisan was so much fun and very helpful. I love the bracelet I made.

Really fun experience for solo or group. Hands on for most of it and shop is very nice. Cool thing to do in Mostar

It was really good explained and you got to try out all the stamps and different hammers before you made your own jewellery. I made a bracelet and i am super happy with the result. On top it was very cool to see the whole process from start to finishing touches after i was done designing it :)

Very fun and unique experience in Mostar. We appreciated the instruction and tips, and left with very beautiful bracelets! The Bosnian coffee was also delicious
