Allison is a great tour guide, fun and knowledgeable! We tried pretzels and beer cheese dip, saw where Thomas Edison lived for awhile in Germantown, ate 3 kinds of white gravy and biscuits, tried burgoo, fried chicken, Muth’s candy, and ice cream while learning about Nulu.

Our food tour of downtown Louisville guided by Christina with Louisville Food Tours was outstanding in every way. First off, Christina is a true local, born in Louisville who takes well deserved pride in her community. Her history of Louisville narrative was woven seamlessly into the food history. The selection of the purveyors and the food items for tasting was logically arranged and comfortably paced. Our group of four came away with the appreciation that we had seen, heard and tasted so much of Louisville that was unlikely we would have discovered on our own. This tour also highlighted for us the difference between a locally owned tour company versus one that is a franchisee of a national chain. Much like the differences we see when we rent an AirBnb or VRBO that is owned and managed by an individual or couple versus a corporate owner of dozens or hundreds of rentals, there is an attention to the customer that is so much stronger with the locally owned tour company. We completely endorse Christina and Louisville Food Tours.

I was surprised how great it was. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The store is set up in a fun way. Kids would enjoy it. The tour guide was really fun. I'm definitely going back!

Cathy was fun, knowledgeable and entertaining. The food was excellent. My husband was pescatarian which is a challenge for many food tours, she did an excellent job of providing alternate options. Overall a great time!

Nice young lady that has a bed and breakfast along with a cooking experience. She made a lovely dinner in a beautiful setting. Her garden is beautiful and the food was delicious.

Excellent tour - focusing on both the history of Louisville (which, we learned is pretty much responsible for everything good in the U.S. including bourbon and beer cheese) and local cuisine. An informative and entertaining time with ample samples at several local hotspots. Anna, our tour guide was wonderful. We highly recommend as an intro to Louisville’s culinary culture.

What a great way to hear about the history of Louisville and get a taste of the local foods. Anna was our guide and she was amazing. She is very knowledgeable about the areas history and she took us to great food spots. She kept the group together and in the shade and we could easily hear her on our headsets.

This was an excellent tour and tasting. Cathy was a fabulous guide! You’ll be lucky if you get her. Informative, fun, and kind.

All the people there were Great!, Receptionist, Tour guide and the ladies in the store very knowledgeable and friendly Would recommend to everyone to take this Tour.

On family trip. Stopped at Rebecca Ruth chocolates had samples of great chocolates . Love the peanut butter and chocolate

Well worth your time if you are in the area. Learning about the perseverance of this family alone was very interesting. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Not sure if this is a destination itself, but if you are in the area or passing through, I would strongly recommend. It only takes about 1/2 hour for the tour + whatever time you spending shopping in the candy/gift shop.

It was $20 per person, and we could only attend on Friday, which had minimal production. The videos showing the production process helped us picture it, since Fridays typically have no production. While it didn’t feel worth $20 per person, we were glad to support local businesses, knowing it helps improve the tour. The tour lasted about 40 minutes, followed by another 40 minutes in the shop picking candies for our custom boxes (yes, plural). The retail candy store had an amazing lady who knew every candy. We bought a bunch of candy. Note that the RED wrappers contain alcohol. Overall, I recommend the tour and the chocolates.
