Top Guadalajara Dining Experiences

I highly recommend this tour. Thiago is an excellent guide. He is friendly and knowledgeable. The recommended dishes were tasty and the staff at each restaurant were welcoming. I have arthritis but the walking pace/distance didn't bother me at all.

Fernando was so friendly and knowledgeable!

Our guide (Elena) gave the perfect balance of history and food. She was super fun and very knowledgeable.

Thiago was our tour guide when we visited Guadalajara for the World Cup 2026 and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a great selection of foods from the region. We were running a little late as Mexico were playing that same evening, the streets were packed, and the police had cordoned off numerous key streets around Plaza de la Liberacion. Thiago was very understanding and waited for us to get to the meeting point. As for the food recommendations themselves, Thiago was very knowledgeable and answered our many questions about the food in the region. He also provided us with some history of the city.We would recommend the tour to all those that want a true taste of the region and to learn about the Tapatio way of life.

It was a wonderful tour. We some experienced delicious local food and learned about the history and culture of Guadalajara. Luis was an excellent guide.

We had such a beautiful experience with Camina Guadalajara Tours. From the moment we arrived, Yami was incredibly kind and accommodating, making us feel welcome right away. We were then guided by Osvaldo, a local who is extremely knowledgeable and shared so much history and meaning with us.What made this tour truly special was how we were treated like family. Being surrounded by the energy of our ancestors was powerful. It felt very intentional and heartfelt, not rushed or touristy. The tour also included a delicious lunch by the water and a workshop, which made the whole experience even more memorable.I’m really grateful for this experience and highly recommend Camina Guadalajara Tours to anyone looking for something meaningful and authentic!

It was a very nice experience, thank you very much, I enjoyed it very much to my partner, also liked very much the attention is very good

Wonderful cooking class - I recommended it to others and would do it again the next time we visit Guadalajara. We got to choose our menu and chose to cook chicken and rice with black mole. Our host/ chef was really patient and accommodating with us (we had some dietary restrictions and were running late) and she was great with my 9yo. The environment was clean, safe, and beautiful. This is a memorable and unique family- friendly cultural experience.

My wife and I had a fantastic private cooking lesson with Chef Nidia today! We cooked the 25-ingredient Mole and it was a wonderful experience. We learned so much, and had so much fun! And the mole was mouth watering! Chef Nidia is charming, her cooking facility is modern, safe, and super clean. Do not hesitate to book this experience in guadalajara!

Don’t be fooled, this is one of the best tequila/mezcal tastings you’ll find. Fernando was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and knows many of the local distillers. We tested 6 amazing tequilas and mezcals. If you’re lucky, you’ll even get some unexpected entertainment from the hostel resident. Ha. Viva Mexico!

We did not feel like doing a full day tequila tasting tour with all of the non-related commercial activities associated with it so we signed up for this two-hour educational (and fun) experience with super guide and tequila expert, Fernando Rodriguez. While sampling a number of tequila and mezcal brands, we learned about the history, manufacture and distribution of tequila as well as learning how to best enjoy it. Fernando definitely knows his stuff when it comes to all of this and I am glad he led our tour.

If you want to learn the rich and interesting history of El Pulque, this tour is for you! Fernando is a wealth of information regarding the creation and process of this delicious beverage. He shared several incarnations of this drink (that is extracted from a certain species of agave). El Pulque can be mixed with many different fruit juices or simply alone. You are given a menu from which you can choose which one appeals to you the most. The place where we met is located in a hip area where there are many attractions and the place is filled with art and had a relaxed, casual atmosphere. We were served a delicious guacamole and other snacks. He answered every question I had and went above and beyond with recommendations and knowledge of Guadalajara. The experience is only 1 1/2 - 2 hours but he perfectly balanced the experience with education and enjoyment of this delicious and healthy elixir. Do not miss this unique and amazing experience!

Luis was a great guide, we went to delicious food spots and he was very knowledgeable about the city and culture. Make sure to be hungry before you start the tour, there's so much good food!

Santiago was an excellent guide. In addition to taking us to a number of exceptional eateries that covered a wide variety of cuisines, he included bits of historical information about the areas of Guadalajara we were traversing that made the tour more interesting. His English was articulate and clear. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our tour and were able to try some interesting local foods. We visited the Mercado Corona as well as a tortilla factory and a restaurant famous for its birria. Our guide was friendly and gracious, and we had a fun time.

We loved it! It was a unique experience, the guides are very pleasant and give you all the information of the place. Super recommended!
