Diego is the best!
Small group of people. Very friendly environment. It was honestly an incredible experience. Our tour guide Diego was the best. Gave us great recommendations about our plan to tour the island the following day. Included spots to eat, best view points, hikes, and additional entertainment.

High-energy highlights in one day
Great way to see many of the island's highlights in one go. The Porto Moniz pools were the stand-out stop-off point for me; as good if not better than the Blue Lagoon in Iceand. Stunning. Cheap. Great facilities. And our brilliant and lovely guide Diago booked a great restaurant for us to have lunch in afterwards. Have the black scabbard!! The sky walk is underwhelming in my opinion, but, heh, I crossed it off anyway as part of this trip. The Fenal forest is so pleasant. I grew up on a farm in Ireland and it reminded me of times spent up the fields there during the summers. The real joy of this trip came from our guide Diago and his fun, intelligent attitude. Do it!!

Whale and Dolphin Watching Tour in Madeira

Really great boat trip!
We had a great time on the boat trip despite not seeing any dolphins or whales. The team was very attentive and polite and they had great knowledge on Madeira. The boat itself was a great size for the 10 of us, it didnt feel squashed and there was plenty of room at the front to watch the sea. We did see some flying fish which was pretty cool! And we swam in the sea with snorkels. Would definitely use On Tales again to hopefully see some dolphins and wales next time!

Great experience
Fantastic excursion. The catamaran was beautiful, worth paying the extra 5 euros per person for less people and some cushions on the seats. We lots lots of dolphins, got really close but respectful. The staff were great and the bar services were a nice touch and reasonably prices. Totally worth it. We didnt see any whales, but maybe another time.

Private tour of PR8 with boat tour
Guide was excellent. Turned up on time and took us over PR8 making it an memorable trip. My wife had hurt her back, but he allowed for this which went above and beyond. The scenery was amazing along with the descriptions. I won't lie, it is hard work; especially in the heat; but well worth doing. The boat ride back is also worth doing

One of the best experiences
We’ve been to Madeira 4 times, and this was truly one of our favorite experiences. What a beautiful way to view the island from another angle, and at the same time see some wildlife. From start to finish we are so happy with this experience, everyone on the team were so kind and helpful. Everything was thoroughly explained and the boat was beautiful. We thought this will be a one time experience, but we already can’t wait to book again when we are back! Thank you!

Private Dolphin and Whale Watching Tour in Madeira

Absolutely fabulous family experience
We spent a long time deliberating whether to pay the additional cost of a private tour, and without question we made the right choice for us as a family, with children who don't like big crowds. It was an absolute joy to sit as a family of 4 on the deck of the Miranda and our children, aged 11 and 13, were enthralled as the waves gently splashed us. We were well taken care of by the crew, and having access to a toilet took any stress away from the journey. We were really lucky and saw a pod of dolphins close up, but honestly it would have been a fabulous ocean experience even without that. The crew also took us to an area with crystal clear water to snorkel. We loved the email we were sent afterwards that summarised what we had seen...it was a fab souvenir. We were also sent an amazing file of photos of the trip.

Madeira South Coast Cruise on Living Sea boat with Lunch

A wonderfully relaxing day!
We were collected from our hotel right on time and driven down to the harbour, where we boarded the boat and were offered a lovely selection of drinks. There were other passengers joining us, but the boat was not at full capacity, meaning there was plenty of space to relax and enjoy the experience without feeling crowded. We sailed out to sea and were incredibly lucky to spot both dolphins and turtles, which was a real highlight of the day! We then stopped for a swim and enjoyed a delicious and plentiful lunch, including rice, potatoes, salad, chicken, pork and tuna. There was more than enough food for everyone, and everything was very enjoyable. On the journey back, we sailed along the coastline, taking in some truly beautiful scenery. The staff were fantastic throughout the day — attentive, helpful and friendly, with excellent English. They really went above and beyond to make the experience even more enjoyable. The toilets on board were also clean and well maintained, with a proper flush, which was an added bonus!Overall, it was a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable day, with beautiful scenery, great food, fantastic wildlife and excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable day out.Thank you Vicente, Henrique,Eilipe and Jonge.

A trip you might do twice.
Highly recommended, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. We saw plenty of beautiful sights, you can't fail to take some great photos. Had a great lunch which our tour guide set up for us. Went off road on the way back. A really enjoyable trip, would definitely do it again if we ever return to Madeira.

An exceptional day thanks to Micael!
We were a group of 8 adults (from 20 to 54 years old) and this 4x4 excursion will remain one of the best memories of our stay in Madeira.A huge thank you to Micael, our French-speaking guide, who was simply wonderful! Very kind, always smiling, funny, caring, and passionate about his island, he knew how to share his love of Madeira with us throughout the day. Thanks to him, we discovered incredible landscapes, authentic places, and breathtaking panoramas. His explanations were fascinating, his French was perfect, and the atmosphere he created in the group was exceptional. We loved this day. We really "loved" every moment! We laughed a lot, learned a huge amount, and created unforgettable memories. If you are looking for a 4x4 excursion in Madeira, look no further: choose True Spirit! And if you are lucky enough to have Micael as a guide, you will have an extraordinary experience.Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Micael, for your kindness, your professionalism, and your good humor. You contributed greatly to making our trip to Madeira unforgettable."Muito obrigado, Micael! It was an unforgettable day. We hope to return one day!"

Well worth the money
Definitely worth the money! Even though we had a bit of bad weather, we still saw lots of beautiful parts of the island and had a great time. Because of the extensive elevation changes, be sure to pack for all sorts of weather! We also should have brought a power bank, but I eventually just put my phone in Airplane Mode, which helped. Thanks Vashko for being great guide!
