Top Cape Cod Ferry Services

I had always wanted to see Provincetown and this high-speed ferry from Boston was just the ticket. Travel time is about 90 minutes each way. Cost was about $90 per person. I thought that was awesome for 3 hours at sea with the price of fuel these days. I just wanted to spend the day, and this was a delightful way to accomplish that. There was a guide on board that could answer my questions on what to do here. The boat was clean and had restrooms and a snack and beverage bar. Boarding was easy. I had an electronic ticket. It does get busy so you might want to book ahead rather than just walking up and purchasing at the dock, I walked from my hotel, and it was really convenient to get to the ferry. Enjoy!

We had travelled from Scotland to stay in Boston and this was one of the highlights of our 8 day stay! Donal was a friendly, knowledgeable character who clearly hasn’t lost his Irish charm after living in Boston for 40 years! He gave us recommendations of where to eat and what to do for our stay in P’town which was only for a few short hours! He was also really interested in our feedback too on our return to Boston so he can improve the service for future travellers. We saw the sunset over Boston city skyline when we came back. Thank you Donal, what an asset you are to the company!

City Cruises does a good job...the ferry is clean and comfortable and takes just 90 minutes from Boston's Long Wharf to Provincetown. There are restrooms and snacks available onboard and the staff is friendly and efficient.I hosted a group on the same weekend as the Boston Tall Ships Parade, and I found the staff very accommodating...it was a busy time for anyone in the business, and employees of City Cruises really came through. Outstanding service.We'll be back. Enjoy!

The boat ride was fine. Make sure you get fresh air here and there because I felt a bit nauseated half hour into the ride even though I didn’t eat breakfast and I was sitting inside.Once there, take the trolley tour, rent a bike, check out the art galleries.

I was afraid my phone might die before boarding so the man in booth put my phone on charger then checked me in early. Off season September light day is quiet and pleasant crossing.

Excellent experience. Crew is very versed and accommodating! A concierge on board has a desk and he welcomes you to talk to him about things to do in PTown! A must do when in Boston!

Leaves on time. Gets there quickly. The concierge has a cute routine. This time of year September not very crowded and pleasant. The crowded in July was more fun.

The journey between Boston and Provincetown on the high speed ferry is always carefree and reliable. It's our favorite way to travel to/from P-town!

The trips to & from Boston/Provincetown were on time. Everyone was professional. The only reason for 4 stars is because the ferry home was cancelled due to rough winds & I felt a bit confused about how the bus would work & where to catch it. There were busses going all day so I asked about it in person. My bus left at the same time as my ferry, they picked us up across the street from Luke’s seafood & they scanned my ferry ticket…the same as if I were boarding the ferry. I got over there early & Brian kept my bags (in the blue hut at the end of the dock) so I could keep walking around (without my heavy luggage) until my bus left…he was super helpful & friendly!

The concierge is like listening to Charles Dickens describe Provincetown. He really makes the trip more enjoyable. Best way to get to ptown for the day
