Osaka Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

This was one of the best food tours I have ever been on, and I've been on a lot. It was extremely well organized with good communication on the time and the meeting place. I was very comfortable that I knew exactly where to go and find my tour. The guide Mario was excellent. Friendly and enthusiastic he facilitated our group through all the different eating places on one of the busiest nights in Osaka. It was so nice to be ushered into places and seated right away when others were standing in long lines. There was a great assortment of different foods to try and there was a lot!! Come hungry and ready to have a great time.

Excellent trip with our host Bernie. Lots of little tidbits about the area as we went along. Great little food spots and local dining meals. Would recommend.

Very great tour! Loved that it was new things we learned about Osaka that you wouldn't learn on other tours! Our host Randy was super knowledgeable! Will definitely suggest this to anyone I know coming to Osaka!

This was such an incredible Food and Culture Tour. Our tour guide, Yukina, was so friendly. She made our whole group feel like we were all friends right from the start. We ate well, we drank well, we laughed and we learned a lot about the food culture of Osaka. 10/10 this was so much fun!

We did this tour with Yukina a few weeks ago. It was incredible! She took us to so many cool places. We went to a shop selling local sake that was filled with locals, and met the creators of the sake. She knew all the owners of all the places we went. We had delicious okonomiyaki and takoyaki, two Osaka foods from my list. And after I told Yukina that I loved whiskey, she took us to the *coolest* tiny whiskey bar in this little alley. She acted as our interpreter when talking to the owner/bartender, and he did a little whiskey tasting just for us. This was one of our favorite experiences of our entire trip, and we never would have had it without Yukina. Can’t recommend enough!

5/5 — Outstanding Osaka food tour We had an incredible time on our food tour in Osaka. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely fun — he knew the city, the food, and how to keep the group engaged without ever feeling rushed or scripted. We had an awesome time with him from start to finish. The food was excellent. Every stop delivered, and we enjoyed it immensely. It was the kind of tour that makes you feel like you’re eating with a local who actually cares that you leave happy and full. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a well-run, tasty, and entertaining way to experience Osaka.

Highly recommend! Kuromon Market has amazing food choices. Having a knowledgeable guide navigate made this such a positive experience. Jimmy was fun, and funny, and passionate about the food. He was great at checking in on my comfort level, as I tried lots of firsts (and all quite delicious)! I learned a lot and lol, ate a lot. It was so much fun!

Trip was a great way to experience the local bars and clubs of not familiar with Dotonbori. Tour guide was extremely friendly and high energy with group!
