First class experience with our guide Mari. From pickup to drop off the tour was high quality. Mari was punctual, excellent English and very informative. He gave us detailed explanations of the tea plants, growing, picking, and processing. He also had great knowledge of the wild life. Mari supplied refreshments along the way, and had good knowledge at the Lockhart Tea Factory. Thank you for an unforgetable experience.

Family Trip to KeralaWe were 9 family members and planned a 7 day Kerala trip covering Kochi, Munnar, Vagamon, Thekkady and Trivandrum.We booked our trip with Komal Travels Kerala and overall our experience was very good. From the beginning they helped us with the itinerary, hotels and transportation. We travelled in a Force Urbania which was comfortable for all 9 of us and there was enough space for luggage also.We started from Kochi and stayed there for one night. We visited Fort Kochi and some nearby places before leaving for Munnar.Munnar was the highlight of our trip. The tea gardens, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake and the beautiful mountain roads were really nice. We stayed in a good 4 star hotel and the arrangements were comfortable.After Munnar we went to Vagamon. It was much more peaceful and less crowded. The greenery and hills were beautiful and it was a nice change after busy sightseeing in Munnar.From Vagamon we continued to Thekkady. We enjoyed the spice plantation and the natural surroundings. The hotel was also good and the whole family enjoyed the stay.Our last destination was Trivandrum and we also visited Kovalam. After spending time in the hills, the beach was a nice way to finish the trip.The total journey was around 700+ km and because we had the same vehicle and driver throughout, travelling with 9 people was much easier. The driver was cooperative and knew the routes well.We also liked that Komal Travels Kerala was available whenever we had questions during the trip. Hotels, vehicle and sightseeing were properly coordinated and we did not have to worry about managing everything ourselves.Overall it was a very nice family holiday and we enjoyed Kerala a lot. Munnar and Vagamon were our favourite places.Thanks to Komal Travels Kerala for arranging the trip and making the journey comfortable. We would definitely recommend them to families planning a Kerala holiday

I went on this hike with my sister and really enjoyed it. Even though it was a bit rainy and foggy, the views of the mountains and tea plantations were incredible. Samy is a very knowledgeable, passionate, and friendly guide, and even drove us back to our hotel afterwards. There was also a hotel pickup at the start (for an extra fee), and Samy brought some delicious tea and snacks for on top of one of the mountains during the 8.2 km hike. I would recommend to wear shoes with good grip, and long trousers and socks as you will be walking through some vegetation and muddy trails during rainy season.

Sami was the best guide ever, he put a lot of effort in show me many things. He has the most important thing that a job needs, love for what you are doing.

Mari was an amazing guide through the entire tour. He showed us the whole process in detail, his passion for his work really shows through the way he explains everything in detail. A must go, especially if you have Mari as your guide.

Our visit to Munnar Tea Tails was made truly unforgettable thanks to our guide, Mari. His knowledge of tea cultivation was remarkable — he walked us through everything from the seeds and stems to the different varieties of leaves that grow from the very same plant, along with detailed insights into the harvesting and growing process. What set him apart was how far he went beyond just guiding. He picked out the best viewpoints across the plantation and suggested different poses and styles for our photographs, making sure we walked away with truly memorable pictures. He even prepared and served us a fresh cup of tea right there in the plantation. Beyond his expertise, Mari was warm, polite, and wonderful to talk to — we shared plenty of laughs along the way, which made the experience feel personal rather than just another tour. He then took us to the Lockhart Tea Factory, where he explained the entire tea-making process in detail. I would highly recommend Mari to anyone visiting Munnar — his knowledge and genuinely warm character make him one of the best guides you could ask for.

My tour guide was Sammy and he was awesome.Sammy was very knowledgeable about the tea plantations and their history, I got a very insightful information about the types of wild life and plants that live in the area as well. On top of the plantations and ecosystem, he has given me insights on the types of medical herbs that are grown in the area and the history behind it.The hike itself was amazing, I was able to see the beautiful rolling hills of munnar and walk through the tea plantations. We also climbed two mountains with waterfalls and a full view of the area.The difficulty of the lakshmi hill hike I'd say was easy with steeps.

Tea was the target, elephants viewing became the game

Great tour. Mari is a super patient and knowledgeable guide. He explained everything nicely and went out of his way to take our pictures. Came back having learnt quite a bunch of things about tea.

Moni was a fantastic guide, very friendly and kind he answered to all our questions and showed us with interest. He really made the tour amazing. For us it was interesting to get to know more about the tea. Even the factory is nice, with the old machines. At the same time it is sad to see the workers operating without proper ppe and old school conditions (for example loud environments and fast moving machines)

Our Munnar Tea Garden Tour with Tea Factory was a really great and unforgettable experience. We were very lucky with the sunny weather and having a private tour as there were no other guests. Mari, our guide was so friendly and caring. He explained everything about tea planting, nursing, harvesting, tea making process, wildlife and the many other plants, flowers, medical use of some plants so good, lively and in a very perfect English. So we umderstood everything and learned many new things. We thank hom very much! Thanks a lot also for the team that made this tour possible, as I booked it very late, due to technical issues. The tour was great. We have learned a lot about tea production in Munnar and Mari our guide could answered all our questions we had in this 3h tour. On top he has a good knowledge about all other plants or animals in the tea plantation.We were lucky and had a private tour for the two of us but we are sure Mari handles bigger groups easily as well.

Very good exploring place nature greenery
