Lazio 2026 Calendar of Events

Our day with Graziella and her husband Giovanni was fantastic from start to finish! We began at the local market, where we met the vendors, learnt about the wonderful local produce, selected ingredients for our lunch and even tasted a delicious local cracker.Back at their home, we were warmly welcomed by their two adorable cats, followed by coffee and traditional biscuits before we got started with the cooking. The cooking was hands-on and relaxed, with each dish showcasing the best of the regional ingredients Italy is famous for. Everything we made was absolutely delicious, and sharing the meal together at the end felt like enjoying lunch with new friends.A truly memorable experience and one we would highly recommend!

I was very, very satisfied ☺️ Triziana was very nice and helpful, told us everything in a few languages, especially in German for me. She gave us her number, I could call her, she answered immediately and advised me on how I could get around by metro. That was a short but very beautiful day in Rome.

If you’re looking for a tour of Rome, choose this company—amazing people! Everything was on time, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the tour was incredibly well-organized given the short timeframe (we only had one day to explore). I will definitely come back and use this company again! Thank you to the driver for the wonderful time and for helping me find the address. I’ll never forget You! it was a beautiful experience. Adrian from the USA.

"Arrive as strangers, leave as friends." We began our adventure with a trip to the local market. I felt as though I was shopping with a favorite friend. After a wonderful wander and shopping for supplies we went to their lovely home where we donned aprons and began a day of cooking together in an Italian kitchen. It was such fun! Unbelievable. We made tiramisu, squash blossom appetizers, pasta from scratch (like you read about in novels) and sauce. Hours passed like minutes. We then ate our delicious and beautiful creations on their lovely outdoor patio, adding wine and conversation to our dining. It's impossible to describe what a wonderful, memorable, treasured experience it was. Such lovely people. I will hold it near my heart forever.

This is a 'must do' when visiting Rome! Skip the line with a guide is the easiest and fastest entry. Absolutely magnificent! Our host, Andree was very knowledgeable and kind. Bravo!

I booked this tour through Cool Destinations in Feb 2026. We docked in Rome 2 Aug 2026. From the pickup at the port of Civitavecchia to drop off, Maximus Tour Service was professional and punctual. Our driver was Federico, who was such a patient, calm and reliable person. The vehicle was clean and air conditioned which really helped us in the extreme heat experienced on the day in Rome. We got to see so much in the 8 hours of the tour which makes me want to definitely visit Rome again to spend a few days exploring the city further. I recommend this tour to anyone doing a shore excursion in Rome, value for money indeed. Appreciated the opportunity and service offered by Maximus Tour Service!!! Thank you

Andreas was a terrific tour guide. He took us to the Etruscan neapolis before the crowds and the. A terrific walking tour of his home town including churches, historical buildings, a visit to an artists workshop and the city Etruscan museum. We had lunch at a lovely restaurants he recommended and gelato to finish the day. It was a very full day and worth the cost.

Marco was an excellent driver. Contacted us in advance to tell us the plan. He was where he said he would be when we got there. Very friendly and accommodating. Ask for Marco if you need a ride from the port to Rome.

It’s was lovely. Tiziana was a wonderful guid. We got a good information about Romes history on the to Rome. Big recommendation from us. Not the last time we use oyo tours.

My daughter and I shared an incredible morning in Orbetello with Silvia. She and her Mother extended us such a warm welcome into their home that we instantly felt like family. After a quick introduction and visit over some delicious bruschetta, we got straight to work making our "ugly, but delicious" cookies and then progressed onto our pasta and tortellini filling. The hands on lessons and recipes that Silvia passed onto us have been in their family for years. We had so much fun making the pasta and tortellini. For the grand finale, we all came together and thoroughly enjoyed the fruits of our labour. What an amazing day with these beautiful women!! We are so grateful to have met them and will cherish and frequently practice their family secrets.

We had a fantastic day in Rome thanks to Anna C who gave us valuable information with a lovely honest tour guide on the coach from port, she was helpful, definitely a credit to the big bus company.

Visiting necropolis was not interesting, waste of time. The rest of the town was interesting, need to be ready for intensive walking.

We had Marco as a driver. He was professional, on time and happy to answer any of our questions. I would recommend him to anyone.

Great. The driver was fun and spoke English well and the tour took us through several towns in one winery.

The tour operator is top tier and they focus on their clients satisfaction during the tour and go out of their Way to have a great time, which we did. We highly recommend this company.

Laura took us on a beautiful tour tailored to our interests with great food, history and talk about her life in the city. Special thanks to Laura for accomodating my wife’s love for photography of the quirky.
