Kenmare Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

John was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and flexible with our schedule. Due to rain in the forecast at the ring of Kerry, we altered our trip to experience Dingle. John was easy going, and provided an incredible experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

When planning our trip to Ireland, we had planned on driving the Ring of Kerry. We were both so happy with our decision to book the tour. Our tour guide, Peter, was so amazing. The information and knowledge that he shared was more than we would have ever gotten if we had done the tour ourselves. He was very gracious and did not rush us as we stopped to look and appreciate the sites. He went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our tour. This trip was a bucket list trip and it was more than we ever dreamed.

We traveled to Killarney for a week long golf trip in mid August and were in need of transportation, as the majority of courses were an hour plus away. John was prompt in his response assuring us he could handle the itinerary and he delivered everything and more.John is a class act, a great driver and an even better person. He has great knowledge of the area and history of Ireland which he will share during your travels- it makes the trip that much more enjoyable.If you are headed to Ireland and are in need of transportation, John will deliver!

We had a great day with Andy! Friendly, knowledgeable and just a fine person to spend the day with is how I would describe our driver. He took us on the most scenic drive we had ever experienced. Stopped for a pint at Peg’s and lunch at O’Neill’s. Andy’s driving was excellent.

What a wonderful 2 days with our private tour guide Richard! We booked through Peter Stanley Tours and could not be happier with our experience. Richard was so kind and knowledgeable and he did not want us to miss a thing! The first day we toured the Ring of Beara and the second day we toured The Ring of Kerry. We learned many facts that we would not have known if we drove ourselves. He was a very safe driver and we felt comfortable and relaxed the entire time. We loved all of his stories and became quick friends. He even took us to the Aran Sweater market because he knew I wanted to go :) I will be referring clients in the future, no question!

We used John and 10 Degrees West for six days of private chauffeur service around Killarney and Adare, and he made the trip. We were a group of six — four adults plus an 8 and 5 year old — and from the very first message he was thorough and easy to work with: he met us right outside arrivals, had booster seats ready for the kids without any hassle, and kept the Mercedes V250 immaculate and comfortable for the whole group plus all our luggage.What stood out most was how seamless everything felt. John was responsive by phone and email leading up to the trip, confirmed every detail in advance, and was always exactly where he said he’d be — no waiting around, no confusion. He drove the Dingle Peninsula and the surrounding countryside with real local knowledge, pointing out spots along the way, and adjusted easily around our schedule with two young kids in tow.If you’re looking for a chauffeur in the Killarney/Adare area who is reliable, professional, and genuinely good with families, John is who you want. I really enjoyed my day with Micheal on the Killarney full day photo tour. The sites are beautiful, Micheal is very knowledgeable about photography and the area, he is a very good teacher, and is a very pleasant person to spend time with. Micheal started the day asking questions about my level of experience with photography, and adapted the day’s program to accommodate me. My day on this tour was one of the highlights of my time in Ireland and I would absolutely do it again (different locations) if the opportunity ever comes about.

Excellent personalized tour. John was the best guide and explained each stop as we went. The scenery was gorgeous of course and the stop to feed the animals was an unexpected treat for all. Thanks.

Fantastic experience. Micheal was a great teacher very patient and certainly taught us many different photography tricks. He enabled us to create amazing photos and therefore brilliant memories also. Incredible! Our driver , John O’Reilly was amazing. He drove us to Valentina Island, Cliffs of Kerry, Ring forts, all along the Ring of Kerry with multiple stops for viewing and photo taking. He shared many stories, folklore and history throughout the day. What a pleasure to take the trek anxiety free while he drove so we could take it all in. I cannot say enough in words how wonderful and worthwhile he made this trip. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing tour, John is so knowledgeable about the history of Ireland and the information about the region. It was absolutely delightful learning about everything that we were seeing and doing. We are going home with a much better understanding of the people and the land.
