No matter if I develop dementia or suffer a stroke I am certain I shall never forget this platinum plus experience. Indeed wild. Utterly wicked. One for the Wonder Wall .

Incredible experience on this level 2 via ferrata tour. Some parts were a little challenging but it was worth it for the experience and the views. Climbing up beside a waterfall with mountain views is just out of this world. The guide took fantastic photos along the way.

Great guide, must do activity for everyone to bring out their inner child. Highly recommend!

100% recommend this to anyone who likes the outdoors and has an adventurous spirit! I am afraid of heights but like to challenge myself and like adventures which is why I booked the tour (Level 1). It was a lot of fun so I decided to upgrade to Level 2 after completing the first part and getting a feel for it. The Level 2 was definitely a lot more mentally challenging than the first one and physically more demanding, how ever our guide (Emelie) was so calm, skillful and creating a safe environment that she helped me push through. The feeling at the top after completing the climb is so rewarding and you feel very connected with nature. Very thankful I got to experience this and would 100% book with them again!

This was an awesome experience. I’m just getting into rock climbing, and my guide (Issac is what I think is name was, but I’m not good with names) was very supportive in trying to find routes that were not too easy for me to climb, but also not impossible. The whole experience was done very well; all the gear was included and was in good shape, the guide was easygoing and personable, they made sure you knew what was going on, and also helped out with spotting holds when things got difficult. There was also no waiting around, I arrived and they got right to getting my kit sized and out to the rock face. Issac also gave tips on how to get into the sport and gain more experience in the future. Not to mention that the views are pretty amazing and the area around Wanaka is one of the most scenic in NZ.I would just like note that this is real rock climbing, so it is a pretty physical endeavor. While the guides do have ways of making it a lot easier on newcomers, like myself, there is a limit and one should be in reasonably good shape before trying this.Definitely recommend and will likely do this again if I end up back in the area.

My wife and I had a great time booking with Basecamp Adventures! We first booked a mountaineering track, and had such a great time that we ended up booking a rock climbing session later in our trip! Our guide, Stevo, was awesome! Super knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around. He didn’t just guide, but he elevated our experience and made it one to remember. They tours we booked are definitely the type of thing that defined our trip and created lasting memories for my wife and I. Additionally, on the practical side, they had great communication and were easy to book with. I cannot recommend them enough!

This is honestly one of our most memorable experiences in New Zealand. The company is top-notch - safe, professional, and with extremely knowledgable and experienced guides. Shane was so great. We learned so much about the area, climbing, and life in general. We loved talking to him and he kept us safe every step of the way. Also, lunch was delicious!

This was the highlight of our entire trip! Our guide, Shane, was sensational. He was thorough and knowledgeable. He had lots of interesting stories and details to share, and was a great teacher and coach as we pushed our comfort zones. I felt totally safe with him. It was amazing climbing the waterfall but the canyoning/rappelling back down was incredible too! I’m so glad we did the combo trip. The wetsuits kept us warm and the sandwich served for lunch was tasty. The views were incredible from the top of the climb. I rarely write reviews but this experience, and especially our guide Shane, was so superlative that I had to let others know! Thank you Shane snd Wildwire!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Wild Wire.Our guide was Jake... or maybe Luke. Haha. One of the funniest stories of the day was him telling us that some of his coworkers didn't even know his name, so hopefully I'm not proving his point here.Regardless of what his name actually was, he was an outstanding guide. He was professional, knowledgeable, and did a great job making sure everyone in the group had a good time. He taught us about the history of via ferratas, explained the equipment clearly, and was extremely safety-oriented throughout the entire experience.There were a few sections where some people in the group were understandably nervous, and he did an excellent job talking them through it, helping them stay calm and confident. You could tell he genuinely cared about everyone's experience and safety.We also worked with Eleanor (I think that was her name). She wasn't my direct guide, but she helped with the introduction and getting everyone prepared. She was fun, energetic, and added to the positive atmosphere right from the start.As for the activity itself, I absolutely loved it. This was my first via ferrata, and Wild Wire completely hooked me. From now on, whenever I encounter a via ferrata during my travels, I'm going to want to do it. The scenery was incredible, the route was exciting without feeling unsafe, and the entire operation was top-notch.If you're on the fence about doing this, stop thinking and book it. This was one of the highlights of our trip to NZ! Level 2 was going to be a challenge for me, because of my fear of heights. Level 1 is pretty easy and Level 2 definitely turns up the heat. However, I felt secure with the equipment and was able to tune out the heights by focusing on the climbing process. Our guide, Luke, was friendly, but more importantly, he was professional. I am happy that we chose to spend a morning doing this climb!

I spent a few weeks in Wanaka and because I had never done rock climbing I was keen to try it out. It was an exhilirating experience and a little challenge for me at 80 but surprisingly I found it fun and was looked after well by Luke. For sure if you have an adventurous spirit do try this out. This tour looked exciting online but I found it confronting once through the wooden door off the cliff edge. If it wasn't for the amazing guide Ben, I wouldn't have completed the tour. He talked me through each stage and made me feel safe and encouraged me the whole way. So glad I did it and I would definitely do it again 😊. The walk back down was just as spectacular as the climb!!!!

Despite it being a bit wet we had a fantastic time. Issac was an excellent instructor, we learnt a lot and had great fun. Highly recommended

We had such a wonderfull time today. Shane and Olly met us at the gate and took care of us all day long. Two lovely guys, extreemly well trained and experienced guides doing the extra mile to keep you safe and make you go all the way up and down. This adventure for sure is little compairing to real mountaineering/canyoning but it really gives you a first impression with all guarantees of safety...and it can be done by anyone with a little fitness...like it says...you can climb a 6 step ladder you can participate and get this great adventure under the knee... 10 out of 10 for the team...plus plus plus for Shane and Olly...we will be back very soon...

I did the level 3 climb on a high water / wind day. Really fantastic, one of the best experiences of my life. Had a great time with confident and supportive guides Rocky and Ollie.Level 1 was a good warmup and taster. Level 2 was a little confronting but very doable. Level 3 was a challenge and extremely satisfying to complete.The views were spectacular.

Such a great experience and Lil was the best!Lil was a very good instructor and gave us the opportunity for different climbing levels.
