Top Vicenza Cooking Classes

This cooking class was one of the highlights of my many trips to this area. The class was held in a beautiful Italian family’s home, which made the entire experience feel authentic and personal. Everything we prepared was completely homemade, and the food was absolutely delicious.The family was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and friendly from the moment I arrived. Their hospitality went above and beyond—even when my husband came to pick me up after work, they warmly invited him inside to eat.If you’re looking for a genuine Italian cooking experience with wonderful people and amazing homemade food, I highly recommend this class. It was an unforgettable experience!

Booked this for my adult son, who is living in Vicenza, and myself (his Mom). At initial booking on Cool Destinations the address is in the center of Vicenza. Once confirmed you receive the actual address which is about a 20-minute drive outside of Vicenza center. This concerned us a bit, but my son has talked about taking a cooking class for a few years so we were not backing out. Driving from Vicenza for about 20 minutes into the countryside, down a dirt path, the gate is open. A friendly gentleman is waving us in. We meet Luigi, who is kind and welcoming. Irma greets us at the house and she a lovely woman with a happy and energetic spirit. We are immediately feeling calm and happy that we are going to have this experience. Their daughter, Selene, joins us and is the English to Italian to English translator. Selene is personable and effortlessly translated all conversations. Preparing the foods and learning more about cooking and so much. A GREAT experience, would highly recommend! (Not sharing specific details so that you will be surprised!).

This pasta and tiramisu making class had all the feels of authentic Italian cuisine. We were welcomed into their home where they shared their cooking and dining experiences with us.

My brother and I loved the experience! We learned a lot and were able to enjoy some truly delicious food! The hosts were gracious and warm and Marcus was a wonderful translator! Grazie Mille!!

We had an excellent experience and got a lot of great information for making pizza and Tiramisu. Hosts went above and beyond to make the event memorable. Detailed information for the whole process and each step of constructing the many different kinds of pizza and Tiramisu. Used all fresh ingredients. They made sure we had plenty to eat and drink. The hosts even had breakfast ready for us before we even began. The classes were very different from what I expected, but the level of detail and process were awesome. Learned so much more than I thought. I highly recommend the hosts for any of their classes. I want to do the pasta class with them now. I have made the Tiramisu 2 times at home already.

Irma and her family were warm and inviting! Their home was a magnificent oasis in the country side. From making tiramisu to speaking Italian under the stars with bottles of wine for the region, the night was one never to be forgotten !

Irma was an amazing host and Marco a great translator. There was much confusion over the meeting location and they were gracious enough to host even though we arrived 1 1/2 hours late. Our families booked with two different companies and the communication of how and where to arrive was confusing. The pasta making class itself was the highlight of the trip! 100% recommended!

To miss this experience makes my heart sad just thinking about such a loss . So amazing all the wonderful thought Irma puts into this . She opens her home which is truly amazing place . Food from her own garden and eggs from her own poultry . Luigi is side by side helping snd chatting . It was like living some movie experience . The sun setting as we dined Al fresco on food we made . It really is an experience that helps people realize the joy In the world .She greeted us with an amazing antipasto band drinks . Then we made three kinds of pasta and tiramisu In the venician style . She was patient and the work was fun . Kids or adults or non cooks can jump right in . Again there aren’t enough praises for me to heap on the experience . Can’t wait to bring my oldest back with me next time .Irma , grazie Mille

My husband and I had a private cooking class at a lovely villa on the countryside of Vicenza. The villa itself was Napolean's Infirmary during the war. It had been renovated into this quaint villa. We made 3 types of pasta, filling for our ravioli and two types of sauces. We also made tiramisu. All of this from scratch. We had a translator who was great. We drank various wines, aperol spritz and grappa. We did schedule a driver to drop us off and pick us up. Though, the family said they would accommodate. Our driver arrived to pick us up and we were still eating. The Cesarine had told her husband to set another plate and our driver joined us. This was so much fun and educational. We learned much about the ingredients, technique and culture. We would highly recommend and will definitely do again.

The host is fantastic. My daughter and myself had a great time learning how to make pasta. It was delicious. Thanks to my lovely host, her husband and her translator.

It was a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to learn how to cook homemade pasta and tiramisu!

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left (4 1/2 hours later!), Irma, our Cesarina, and Luigi, her husband, made us feel like treasured guests in their home. With Giovana, a family friend, to translate, they greeted us with Prosecco and a table full of delicious treats, from fresh melons wrapped in prosciutto to cheeses and olives. (And their dining table looked like something out of a Martha Stewart Tuscan dream!)Then it was off to the kitchen to learn to make three different types of handmade pasta with two different kinds of fillings (one with spinach and ricotta and one with sausage) garnished with tempura style sage leaves (delicious!) and for dessert, home made tiramisu!Irma quickly put us all to work, while Luigi plied us with Aperol aperitivos to keep our strength up. From whisking egg whites, kneading pasta dough, chopping spinach, frying sage leaves and stirring the sauce, Irma was like a symphony conductor taking us through the process of making a true Italian meal.And finally, it was time to taste the fruits of our labors. For this, Irma and Luigi had set up another beautiful table outside on the patio with several types of local wines to complement our meal. And the food was all fabulous! Delicate pasta that melted in our mouths and tiramisu that was so delightful, who cared about the calories! And one of the best parts about this meal was learning more about Irma and Luigi. At 76 and 80 (you would never in a million years guess their ages!), they simply love to entertain, and hosting cooking classes gives them the opportunity to do just that. They truly love meeting new friends and it shows.Together we ate and drank to our hearts content and laughed a lot. It was a most marvelous magical day and we hated to leave. The next time we are in Vicenza, we will book this tour again!!!

The people were wonderful and welcoming! They customized our experience to what we would like. There was translator available on site. Site was beautiful and calming. Food and wine were delicious. Amazing experience!

We had the most wonderful day with Irma! She and her husband Luigi were so kind and welcoming. They have a beautiful home they opened up to us. We got to try some of her homemade sambuco and she shared many of her delicious recipes with us. We made bigoli, ravioli, gnocchi and Irma even taught us how to make tortellini. This was one of our favorite days of our two week trip! Irma and Luigi shared stories of their family, and gave us suggestions on places to visit. We hope to be back and have dinner with them again someday!

Beautifully prepared and presented food and wine when I arrived, genuine interest in my back story, warm and welcoming. The cooking experience was delightful, involved and encouraged at every step, very accommodating of my preferences. Nothing felt rushed, Irma and Luigi filled a very happy 5 hours of my day

What a superb night of cooking with an amazing dinner to top it off. All 5 star - we loved Elisa and her family. Authentic and delicious and we learned so much! Would recommend this to all!
