I have been visiting this wonderful island for over 20 years, but today's excursion was able to give me new emotions and made me discover corners of paradise never explored. A special thanks to Daniele and Nino for their professionalism, courtesy, and friendliness. A unique experience that I absolutely recommend!

Gigi organized a fishing experience for my daughter, nephew and brother-in-law. We love the suggestion he made for them to fish at Mistras Lagoon. It's near Cabras and a beautiful part of the island. The water was calm. They learned how to cast and had a great time.Gigi was easy to communicate with in setting up the excursion and provided clear instructions on our meeting place. He also offered help with transportation but since we had several family members who wanted to travel to explore the area, we had our own cars. I highly recommend doing a fishing excursion with Gigi.

Daniele is first and foremost an authentic person who loves his work and knows how to convey his love for the sea and his land to his guests. Then he manages to involve the guests with pot fishing and swimming in wonderful coves.The fish caught during the excursion is cooked on the spot and has an incomparable taste. The flavor of simplicity and freshness. Everything was delicious and abundant and preceded by an aperitif.Then many stories and news about the places you visit complete the day.A unique experience, with a max of 10 people and many comforts on board.Thank you Daniele for this day full of Sea, Nature, and Beauty!

IT IS NOT THE USUAL EXCURSION...that's how the flyer advertising this activity begins....NOTHING COULD BE TRUER!!! My wife and I were thrilled with this unique experience. From the organization, to the care that Daniele and Giuseppe showed to all of us participants… they didn't make us feel like customers… they treated us like friends. We saw wonderful places and experienced firsthand (to a small extent) what the work of a small-scale fisherman is like... touching a starfish, learning the rules of the sea, and having respect for this maritime heritage... diving in stunning places... this experience will remain in our hearts forever. We have had several experiences with fishing tourism and this time was also positive. Daniele is an excellent captain and cook, Giuseppe is an excellent speaker who entertained us with his stories and explanations. Fantastic swims in a Sardinian sea that never disappoints.

Wonderful day, on board the Orsa Maggiore that leaves from the port of San Teodoro 8 hours of fishing baths and a great lunch on board with the catch of the day Swimming in the pools of Molara without time stress with Daniele filling us with pampering, it was an idyllic day I recommend to everyone this experience that fills all 5 senses and gives you a memory of Sardinia to take with you Thank you Orsa Maggiore

5 stars are not enough to describe the day spent with Pescaturismo Tavolara. Our experience was more than positive: from fishing with pots to the stories of Tavolara and Molara, from pasta with fish caught to swimming in the sea, but what we will remember most is the way we felt. Daniele and Giuseppe are a great team, prepared, hospitable and really passionate who made the day absolutely unforgettable, despite the suboptimal weather conditions. We absolutely recommend!

We had a lovely boat trip around Tavolara island & the surrounding area.The boat was spacious (there were 9 guests on our trip) + you could easily find a shaded area if you wanted to get out of the sun.This boat is the only one allowed to fish in the area. They anchor up & pull in a load of netted crates, admittedly there wasn’t a huge catch, but crabs, octopus & small fish were pulled up - you can join in if you want, the kids on board loved it!The boat moves around the area, allowing plenty of stops to enjoy a swim in the crystal clear waters.Food wise, we had an octopus salad, a shellfish pasta & cold meats & cheese - which were all delicious.The staff were very friendly & helpful, Frederica spoke excellent English & immediately helped out when my wife felt sea sick.A highlight on our way back was when the ice cream boat pulled up (move over Mr Whippy). All they are missing is a catchy tune like the ice cream vans in the UK 😂We had a brilliant day & would thoroughly recommend.

A perfect day at sea with family and friends! I loved learning and watching how the fish were caught, and the fresh lunch made with it was absolutely delicious. Snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters was a highlight, as were the stories and local insights about the area and Tavolara. The hospitality was outstanding from start to finish, with thoughtful touches like tasty bites, local wine, plenty of shade and sunshine, and an all-around welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend this unforgettable experience!

We joined a day on Orsa Maggiore. Greeting, boarding and briefing were all professional. The vessel was in pristine shape. There were 8 passengers on this trip. There was lots of space to sit, lie down or move from bow to stern. Not long after we left the port we entered a marine preservation area. This operator is licensed to fish there. 25 fish traps had been placed a day earlier. The captain went about retrieving the traps. Some were empty. That day we saw three eels, a moray eel, octopus and other miscellaneous fish. We witnessed the process and could if we wished, hold some of the catch. Once the retrieval had been completed, Daniele and his fist mate Giussepe (formally a career archaeologist) released the traps back into the water. Orsa Maggiore’s engine revved up again and we headed toward the island of Molara. Water around Sardinia is often totally clear and a delight to swim and snorkel in. Many in the group swam to shore. We were never rushed to return to the boat for lunch. The crew had prepared an excellent pasta dish with fish from the previous day’s catch. The aft deck which is normally the work area when fishing operations are conducted was converted to accommodate a comfortable table and benches around which the group sat and enjoyed the meal. There were soft drinks and some wine and beer brought on board by some of the clients. Once done with this location the plan was to reposition to the Island of Tavolara and parallel the almost vertical cliffs at a distance of 50 to 100 meters. Today that was not a “swim stop” but I imagine that if the vessel were stopped there it would make for great swimming as well. It is possible that the water depth there is such that anchoring would not be easy. Orsa Maggiore was then steered to Tavolara’s Marina where we had the option of disembarking for a stroll around a location that features beaches and a few restaurants. It was very hot today - the shaded aft deck of Orsa would have been the better choice for me, since I already had a sunburn from a previous day. The people in our group were all of the quiet type and this led to pleasant conversations. This excursion may be a little pricier than other similar offerings but our experience was high quality thanks to the limited number of passengers. We heard of vessels with larger groups, heavy alcohol consumption and the noise and stress that can accompany those configurations. In conclusion: a classy operation with quality itinerary, quality food, quality people and opportunity to swim, relax, sunbathe, socialise, lunch, snack and drink with moderation if desired.
