Grazie mille to AJ for such a fun and thoughtfully curated experience in Rome. My little one especially loved the animal theme of the scavenger hunt and was so inspired, that he continued to spot them on sculptures and buildings the remainder of our trip.My little one also really loved the opportunity to draw to his hearts content, in lovely and historic spots around the centre of the city. I appreciate that AJ encouraged me (not at all arty) to get involved in the drawing which I enjoy more than expected! We enjoyed the imaginative activities, being creative together and discovering really interesting facts about the eternal city.AJ was also extremely helpful and responsive before booking in answering my questions and we also appreciated the fantastic foodie recs on her Instagram page. We tried a yummy Mexican near Flaminia and 3 gelatarias!It was a fantastic start to our short stay and first time in Rome and we would love to come back and do it again - possibly to try the Modern art lab/ gallery tour next!

Fantastic experience!
What a joy this was! My fiancée and I had so much fun creating our mosaics. We now have a whole new level of appreciation for this beautiful art form. The teacher, Nadia, and her assistant, Marta, were warm, patient, and encouraging. They let us work at our own pace and gave us space to be creative. The location is beautiful - you’ll feel like a true artist in Nadia’s beautiful studio!At the end of the class, you’ll be able to see your piece *mostly* finished, but it won’t be fully complete until the concrete cures over the next two days. Nadia will wrap up your piece so it is protected for its journey home. We’re so excited to unwrap our work! The finished piece in its packaging is around 6”x6”x2” and is pretty heavy, so plan your packing accordingly.Overall, highly recommend!

Was a great way to avoid the crowds at the Colosseum and find a bit of inner peace at the same time. Laura was fantastic and gave us great tips to follow along with lots of historic facts as we were drawing. I’ve not picked up an art pencil in about 30 years so it made it doubly special. We were sat in shade but the midday sun moved round very quickly. We needed that SF50+ and to refill our large water bottles. Laura made sure to take us to the nearby nasoni (lit tr: big noses, free water fountains) before we headed off. Thanks for a wonderful experience and the biscuits 🙏

AJ led a wonderful and creative art lab tour and scavenger hunt for myself and two boys. She captivated my two boys with the stories she told about the various foundations and sites we visited, while letting them explore their creativity through art. It was an amazing tour and I’m so happy that we had an opportunity to do this tour. I would highly recommend checking this tour out if you are a family visiting Rome!

This place deserves 6 stars. It’s one of those few absolutely unique experiences and the antidote for kids bored with seeing yet another ruin. It was truly special and the guide was simply amazing.Here’s the answer to the question I tried to find in the reviews before booking: should you book for yourself and your kids or just your kids?Answer: It’s all about even numbers. If you have two kids, don’t sign up! It will be weird. If you have 1 or 3 kids, you basically have to sign up for it to be fun for them. And then there was the one kid without a family member and someone had to pity fight him…Also, believe the mosquito warnings. The other reviewers are actually underselling it. When I asked my kids their favorite activity in Rome, they said, if we didn’t count the mosquitos, this was their favorite. If you count them, it was near the bottom. They each got like 30-50 bites. I never get bitten and got 10-20 bites. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Just find some bug spray or wear long pants. It was so, so miserable without either.It’s unfortunate because, ignoring the mosquitos, it really one of the best memories from our entire trip and definitely the one they’ll be talking about when they see their friends in school.

Great experience for the entire family
This experience was one of our top excursions of our trip to Italy. The activity was different from anything else we did and linked really nicely with our visit to Rome's Colosseum. We had a family of four including two kids ages 13 & 10. While it seems our group lent itself to a slightly younger crowd, our kids still had a blast. The instructor was also amazing and made the entire experience a light-hearted, good time.My only advice is to book a return car from the location back to your hotel/ downtown Rome as it was tough to get an uber or tax to return.

We had a wonderful time during the museum experience! AJ guided us through the modern art museum, teaching us about different types of art genres. After each genre we would stop and do our own take on the genre. My 6 year old really enjoyed the experience, looking at the art and making her own. Perfect way to spend the afternoon!

What better to do in a city of art & beauty than take some time to be creative yourself?! Guido was kind and friendly. The lesson was basic, the fundamentals of sketching & shading. The refresher was nice, but what I enjoyed the most was observing the lines and shadows of the gardens and spending a lovely afternoon with a local artist.

AJ was fantastic! This is our favorite tour in Rome with grandchildren 9 and 15. We learned about art, saw work by masters, and got to use our own creativity. AJ was very knowledgeable and shared her enthusiasm well.I consider myself the opposite of artistic, and even I found a creative spark. That’s kind of miraculous! We will always remember it. (Also consider, it’s air conditioned and doesn’t require a walking marathon. You can’t beat that in Rome in a heat wave.)
