Overall experience was awesome! It was a great day weather wise, especially for a sunset cruise. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The admission fee could be better however if you add a complimentary drink with your meal then I believe it would have been better. The crowd size could have been one row less on this 3 hour cruise. The overall atmosphere was fun and engaging. I think this cruise would he best for group celebrations.

This was much better than we expected. The service when it came to drinks and dinner was very efficient - and the food was good. The man doing the guiding had just the right amount of fun facts and information - (he didn't talk too much or too loud). He also did the entertainment (singing) at a very suitable volum. I really loved it. The view of the island were nice and we were lucky to have a beautiful sunset.

They ran out of our first choice dinner, cod. We were flexible and then chose chicken. It was good, however, the meal was only slightly warm, parts of it were cool. I've been on their other cruises with dinners and the meals were more enjoyable.

On an August 2026 holiday visit to Kingston my wife and I took the Sunset Dinner Cruise with Kingston 1000 Island Cruises. I had booked the cruise at least a month ahead and paid extra for a window table as well as a bottle of wine. Boarding was easy and organized and the boat was probably 80% full. The commentary and entertainment were quite good and was paused once the dinner was served, which was nice. Having paid a premium for the window table we received what is called the “Chef’s Platter” which was an assortment of sweet and savoury bites: cheese, veggies, dried and fresh fruits, spreads. Main course choices were braised short rib, chicken supreme, red snapper and stuffed pepper. My wife and I both ordered the braised short rib, which was served with redskin mashed potatoes, vegetable and a peppercorn demi-glace. The short rib was very good and tender, to the point you really didn’t need to use a knife. Dessert was a small dish of mousse, also good. If desired there were other dessert options offered at an additional cost. Must give a shout-out to Jenna our server. She was great!! NOW . . . here is what I found to be something I really didn’t like and extremely annoying!! With the initial cost of the dinner cruise, the upgrade to a window table and the bottle of wine, we paid a grand total of $440.56 which included $62.56 for taxes and a couple of incidentals. What really turned us off was that when we were asked if we wanted coffee I didn’t expect to be charged an additional $7.91. How chintzy can they be. After spending more than $400 for the dinner cruise they couldn’t GIVE us a cup of coffee without a fee. Shame on them!! Summing it all up, we would recommend the dinner cruise . . . but c’mon stop charging extra for a cup of coffee.

The cruise was very nice, music and speaker very nice. the 4 course dinner we were not happy with at all.salad was good .main course stuffed pepper was over cooked to the point of crunchy on top. desert was very good.

Well organized supper was delicious and you get to hear the singing Captain on way back to pier.. a must do adventure

My husband and I had a lovely time on board. There was a wine tasting with a fruit and cheese board waiting for us when we got to our table. We paid extra to have a window seat, which I fully recommend. The tour guide/musician was interesting and provided very relaxing background music during dinner. The whole staff was very friendly and efficient, especially Julia! So fun and friendly! The food was ok. Cheese board - delightful. Chicken dinner tasted great, but was served cold. Red snapper - the fish was good and hot but the rice and beans were bland and cold. They ran out of bruschetta so we were given garlic toast on the house as an apology - and it was DELICIOUS! The cheesecake was melt in your mouth tasty without being overly sweet. We didn’t say anything to the staff about the food. To be honest we were having such a good time, it really didn’t matter all that much to us. Would we go again - absolutely!!

The staff were great, music was good, food was ok but some of the main course was cold.

Our dinner cruise included music from The British Invasion Era! The band had pretty much everyone on board sing, and most of us sat at our tables dancing in our seats! A three course meal was provided, assigned seating. Booking online with extra fee will provide you with a window and relish plate. Beverages are extra, coffee, tea are not included with your meal. The servers are kind and friendly. The sunset was stunning, and seeing the island and the century cottages were a sight to definitely see! Thank you Captain Mel for keeping us between the markers. We were lucky, there was rain but only during dinner, and at the end as we reached the dock. My friend and I had a wonderful time!

What a lovely evening!My wife and I wanted to do something different while we were visiting Kingston so we decided on their sunset dinner cruise that we initially found on Cool Destinations. Boarding started at 6 PM with a underway time of 6:30 PM. The Ship was probably about 30% full. We paid extra for window seating. It seemed that everybody but two small parties did that as well. The center was open except for those two parties. We were whisked on board without issue and seated in the forward third of the ship. There was a lovely appetizer already set out for us. Our server for the most part was a young lady named Kat. Dan, was narrating the voyage and playing guitar. He was actually quite good! We ordered underway cocktails and a bottle of wine for our three hour tour. Our cocktails were well crafted and delicious! After our underway, the meal was served banquet style. Our salad course came out after getting underway. The salad was very tasty though very light on the dressing. I would almost say it wasn’t dressed, but was still tasty nonetheless. For our main courses, I ordered the braised short rib while my wife ordered their chicken supreme. There was also a salmon and vegetarian dish available. When the main courses were served, I was truly surprised and delighted. My braised short rib was absolutely delicious! My wife enjoyed her chicken supreme as well. Another thing we truly enjoyed during the course of the Cruise was the narration by Doug! He did a great job pointing out sites and giving delightful stories along the way. My wife decided to upgrade the dessert to their caramel carrot cheesecake while I stuck with the European cheesecake. Not sure what made it European, it tasted like any other cheesecake to me. The last half of the cruise was mostly music from Doug and some taped music as well. We pulled in near precisely three hours after we left. It was a terrific evening and well worth the dollars spent! We would certainly do it again sometime in the future!

Just returned from the island Star sunset dinner cruise. What a fabulous evening, Staff were great, entertainment good and really good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend

The dinner cruise was just wonderful! The food was excellent, the entertainment was amazing. The Captain singing karaoke was the icing on the cake.

What an amazing experience. Food was great, service exceptional, entertainment amazing! I have always wanted to cruise around the 1000 Islands and am glad I was finally able to do it. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone looking at booking it up, you won’t be disappointed.
