Great fun - even on a rainy day. Beautiful countryside and the castles particularly in Vignola are spectacular. Lunch at the Osteria Della Luna was outstanding. This was an excellent trip and the team at the local tour operator were great - really helpful.

We did 6 tours during our vacation, and this was one of the best. We did the option from Bologna, and the trains are easy to use and the tickets arrived the day before. The mosaics are definitely worth seeing - so impressive that words don't do them justice. Our guide was excellent - very informative and really knew the stories behind the buildings and art. It is a brisk pace but you see 5 very different buildings and have adequate time in each. Made us want to revisit Ravenna.

Great adventure through Ravenna. Ravenna is a significant, historical place and the guide was terrific in giving the history of the past and how the city has adapted. We highly recommend this tour.

I recommend the train tour to visit the Basilica of San Luca and enjoy the view of the Bolognese hills during the trip. The basilica is wonderful. An unmissable stop in the city tour.

We had a wonderful time on our tour of Ravenna with Eletta. We met her at the train station in Bologna and took the train with her to Ravenna. On the train, she explained Italian history and how it related to what we saw. She bought all the tickets in advance and we were able to quickly move through any lines to see the beautiful mosaics. Eletta is an art professor and an expert in art history. She explained all of the dazzling artwork. There is no way that we could have navigated all of the sites on our own in one day. We had a delicious lunch at the beautiful market. She kindly helped us order, as most of the servers did not speak English. She also stopped twice for us to have a cappuccino. Thank you Eletta for sharing your love of art with others. We had a wonderful time on our tour and learned so much.

Very nice tour of the beautiful mosaics in Ravenna. The guide told clearly and was inspired. International company of like-minded people. Unfortunately, the headsets did not work for us on three occasions, which was at the expense of our tour time.

Being passionate for art history as well as always wanting to know more about the nature of the city's history, this walking tour balanced both with a knowledgeable guide - Marco - with a thorough background in both, a great rapport with all participants, as well as a fantastic sense of humor. Despite time constraints sometimes imposed by fixed appointments with the ticket offices of these monuments, Marco organized the tour in a casually, well-paced speed to meet these times without feeling thrown around. We left with a greater fondness for the city itself, a greater understanding of the history that shaped this place, and the people within it.
