Top Dubrovnik Cooking Classes

Our cooking class, meal and experience at Kameni Dvori was beyond our expectations. We had private transportation to and from our small ship. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Nikki who served us a delicious brandy and some wonderful homemade crackers. We then toured the magnificent garden while she explained about all of their incredible agriculture. We collected fresh veggies, eggs and ate figs right off the tree. Next we went to the kitchen and prepared home made bread. Then we prepped the veggies. Of course Nikki served us delicious wine right from their vineyard as we cooked. She told us all about the centuries old family estate that we were at. She lit the hearth fire and we ate like royalty. Amazing fresh battered zucchini and eggplant with incredible homemade chutneys. Then the main course. And finally the most incredible flourless cake which we had help prepare. It was just me and my husband and our experience far exceeded our expectations. They also have a magnificent villa for rent which sleeps ~8 or 10. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience real life in Croatia.

The experience was everything I wanted. The hostesses were very friendly, share their lifestyle and their culture and we prepared and ate delicious food!

Amazing. We made 3 Courses and had a lovely time exploring the gardens, the property and family history dating back to the 1500’s. It was a fun relaxing experience that was so worth leaving busy and touristy Dubrovnik.

Such a fun experience. My husband and two adult children went and it was fabulous. Such a unique and interesting experience. Or guide was excellent. We each got to take some gin home that we made to our personal liking. Plus the facilities had air conditioning! Would highly recommend.

This was such a fabulous experience! Our guide was extremely knowledgable about the history of Dubrovnik, the history of gin and the science/art behind distilling. The gin was delicious and the whole evening was very enjoyable. We had great conversation and delicious drinks, and walked out with her own unique bottles of gin. Strongly recommend!

Tour of farmyard including goats, chickens, aubergine, veggies and olive trees followed by the Peka preparations. Florio explained and showed the genuine Peka cooking from beginning to end. A fantastic experience- thank you Florio!! Highly recommend.

Greatnexperience for anyone who loves gin. Vlaho is a great host and very knowledgeable, willing to share his experience and his love for gin and Croatia. This was an experience I will never forget and would recommend to anyone and everyone. Getting to make your own blend of gin is the cherry on top. My sister and I both agree that the botanical gin making class was the highlight of our trip. If we go back, we would do it again. It was fun, well taught, interesting, and now that it has been a few weeks, I tried my gin and it is absolutely fantastic!

This review is several months overdue.. We stayed in Dubrovnic for 2 nights during our Croatia trip and I searched for cooking experiences online, choosing to book with Florio based on previous reviews. We made a mid-day booking and the experience was outstanding. We arrived late morning and Florio invited us into his home where we began with a tour of his farm, learning about the animals he raises and the crops grown on site. We met his wonderful family and he served us home-made wine as we watched and helped him prepare the main course with fresh meat and vegetables. We learned about Peka and placed the dish under the iron bell to slow cook. Florio served home-made olive oils and cheeses paired with fresh bread and local meats while the Peka cooked, all the time teaching us even more about the history of the area. The main meal was DELICIOUS! We finished our time by sampling some home-made brandy and we left with leftovers! I highly, highly, recommend the Peka cooking lesson with Florio. When we eventually return to Dubvovnic we will definitely be booking with him again to discover more hidden gems of Croatia.

Amazing special evening cooking in the mountains of Dubrovnik. You are welcomed to a beautiful family farm with a coffee and fig cookie. Chatting away with the family. You jump right in th making potato bread! As the bread is rising you prep your ingredients for a lovely chicken stew! Tour of the farm, pick veggies and collect eggs from the coop. We visit a neighbor and learn all about goats and have the opportunity to milk the goat! An amazing experience all around! Highly recommend 🍷🍷🍷

My family of 6 (teens & adults) had a wonderful experience visiting a traditional farm and meeting the family who has lived there for hundreds of years. We loved picking vegetables in the garden, making and eating our meal, tasting homemade liqueurs and learning about the history and culture of the farm community, Our guides were passionate about their home, family, history and healthy eating. Their english was clear and easy to understand. Another highlight was Oliver who was our driver to and from the event. He was super friendly and eager to share information about growing up and living life in Dubrovnik area. His company Dubrovnik Food Story offers other tours which i will definitely look into if we are in the area again.

From beginning to end, this experience was exceptional. Even the transportation deserves a special mention! One of our favorite parts was touring their beautiful garden and picking fresh vegetables that would become part of our salad and dinner. There is something pretty special about picking ingredients from the garden and then sitting down together to enjoy the meal you helped prepare.The food was outstanding. Their homemade wine was equally impressive—we tried both the red and the white and thoroughly enjoyed them. Dessert was made with seasonal figs and was absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to the meal.We also really enjoyed the other family who shared the experience with us. By the end of the evening, it felt less like attending a cooking class and more like spending a wonderful evening cooking, eating, drinking wine, and sharing stories with new friends and a Croatian family.If you are looking for an authentic, warm, and memorable experience while visiting Croatia, do not miss this one. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip, and we would highly recommend it!

From the beautiful setting to the excellent food and warm hospitality, it was far more than a cooking class—it was a truly memorable experience.Nike and Katarina were wonderful hosts: welcoming, personable, and made us feel like guests in their home. The class was very hands-on, and they clearly and patiently explained the ingredients, techniques, and traditions behind each dish. We prepared bread, pasta (which I struggled with but they made look easy!), a flavorful chicken stew with a memorable sauce we hope to recreate in our own kitchen, and a light fig cake for dessert.The setting was beautiful, surrounded by countryside and the family garden. Using fresh ingredients direct from the garden, made the experience feel especially authentic, and everything we prepared for lunch was delicious.What stood out most was the combination of great food, a stunning location, hands-on learning, and genuine Croatian hospitality. It offered a wonderful glimpse into local life that we wouldn’t have experienced otherwise by staying in town.We highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. If you’re looking for something authentic, personal, and memorable, this is a must-do. Nike and Katarina created an experience we will remember long after our trip to Croatia.

This was hands down one of the most unique and memorable experiences we’ve had in Dubrovnik! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed into a beautifully set-up gin lab that felt both professional and fun. Vlaho, our host and master distiller, was absolutely fantastic – knowledgeable, passionate, and incredibly engaging. He guided us step by step through the history of gin, the distilling process, and how to perfectly balance botanicals.The highlight was crafting our very own gin blend using fresh local botanicals.
