If you’re considering this experience, stop thinking and book it.Our pasta-making class with Valentina and Annamaria was one of the absolute highlights of our honeymoon and one of our favorite memories from all of Italy. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us into their beautiful home like family. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality made communication effortless.The setting in the Chianti countryside was breathtaking. Learning to make fresh pasta completely by hand was so much fun, and Valentina and Annamaria were incredibly patient, encouraging, and passionate about sharing their family traditions. It never felt like a tourist activity. It felt like being invited into someone’s home to experience authentic Tuscan life.After cooking together, we enjoyed one of the best meals we had during our trip, paired with wonderful local wine and incredible conversation. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and you could truly feel the love they put into the entire experience.We left not only with new cooking skills, but with memories we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Valentina and Annamaria, for making us feel like part of your family. We can’t wait to recreate these recipes back home and remember our honeymoon in Tuscany every time we make pasta. This experience takes place on a real Tuscan farm that produces its own olive oil and Chianti wine, and it absolutely shows in the quality of everything you touch, taste, and cook.The two women leading the class were authentic, charming, and an absolute delight to learn from. They made the whole experience feel personal, welcoming, and genuinely Tuscan.All the vegetables came straight from the farm, and we learned to make a full traditional meal:• Panzanella • Ragù • Fresh pasta • TiramisuAnd yes — there was plenty of wine involved too.After cooking, we sat down to enjoy the entire meal we had just made, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip for our whole family.I highly recommend this cooking class to anyone wanting a true Tuscan experience.

The next best thing to being invited to Andrea Bocelli's house
In the movie "Solo Mio", Kevin James' character is invited to famed tenor Andrea Bocelli's home in the Tuscan countryside to help cook dinner and listen to great music. You are NOT getting invited to Bocelli's home, but being invited to Lucrezia's home is the next best thing. ----We visited Lucrezia at her family's villa in the beautiful Tuscan countryside for an evening of fine company, a delicious homemade meal (which we helped prepare), and fabulous music. ----We found Lucrezia to be a perfectly charming host. We joined her in the rustic kitchen of her 17th-century house to cook our dinner (bruschetta, homemade pasta, chicken cacciatore, and panna cotta). It was a cold evening when we visited, so we ate inside, in the dining room with a wood-hewn ceiling (but before and after dinner, we visited the patio with its views of the estate's vineyard). ----What was already a fantastic evening was made even better when we were joined by a professional opera soprano who regaled us by singing Italian arias and some other Italian classics. ----This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. I would give it 8 stars if I could. ---- ----(One note -- The Cool Destinations listing implies that transportation from Florence is included in the price. It is not. It can be added for an additional cost, but you need make prior arrangements with the event operator, Opera in the Kitchen, to add it.)

The cooking class was a blast. Sara and her son were so nice and welcoming it really felt like we were friends hanging out in their home. We learned a lot, ate the amazing food we made, and had a spectacular view of the Tuscan hills. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Sara was already waiting for us when we arrived with our rented scooter, what a warm and warm welcome! Set the tone ws! She has told passionately about Italian cuisine that needs a lot of patience and passion! During the workshop I got a lot of information about making the dough.
