Top Chengdu Walking Tours

We had a wonderful day in Chengdu. It began with a visit to the Giant Panda Research Station. Thanks to our guide, Claire, who knows the best route to take at the station and the timing and locations for spotting the pandas, we saw many pandas eating bamboo, climbing trees and playing. She also showed us the 76 day old adorable red panda babies in their nursery. This was followed by a stroll through the Broad and Narrow alleys, where tradition and culture create an intriguing mix in this historical section of the city. Then Claire introduced us to one of the city's most famous cuisines - hot pot - in a nearby restaurant, showing us how to enjoy this special dish. It was an outstanding meal. After lunch we visited the People's Park, also know locally as Chengdu's living room. It's a place where people meet to drink tea, play games, dance and even post personal notices at Matchmaker's Corner. We soaked up the atmosphere at one of the many tea houses in the park. Thanks to a great itinerary and our fantastic guide, Claire, we had a truly memorable day.

Claire is very knowledgeable about pandas and always proposes the best angle to take your photos. She is very enthusiastic about guiding and definitely fun to be with. We went for a hot pot with her and that turned out to be the best meal so far on this tour. Claire is kind and generous and such a lovely person.

We had the pleasure of going to the Panda Base/Giant Base with our driver Mr Zhou and our guide Jacky. Jacky did an excellent job of making sure we were in the right place at the right time to capture the best photos at both sights. It is not easy to see both of these major tourist attractions in one day, but U2Panda made it possible for us and let us spend as much time at either attraction as we’d like. If navigating large crowds and getting great pictures/videos in extremely crowded tourist attractions is a priority to you, U2Panda is the way to go! I cannot recommend their services enough.

If you’re considering a guide in Chengdu, Conie is highly recommended. She timed our visit to the Panda Base so we could see the pandas active, brought Chengdu’s history to life, and introduced us to Chinese traditions such as teahouse culture. She also provided insight into local social life, including Chengdu’s marriage market and retirement culture in People’s Park. Tickets, transport, timing, and food were handled seamlessly, and she adapted to our pace. In addition, she has a great communication style and excellent English.

Had a good and informative visit to Chengdu. Our guide Julie was very knowledgeable about the places we visited, mainly Leshan giant Buddha and The Giant Panda Research and Breeding Centre. Timing was great and we saw lots of active pandas. Julie was also very patient with my walking due to my bad knee. I will recommend Julie as your guide in Chengdu.

I had an excellent day with the guide BARRY, who explained to me in detail the history of the city of Chongqing, and the visit to the pandas was extraordinary. I recommend this excursion, best value for money.

Our guide Abby was truly incredible Sheldon was also super helpful right from the start in helping us organize everything, and the driver was super nice.

I had a solo private tour arranged through Travel China Guide with Ling. She was wonderfully pleasant, punctual and spoke very good English. We went all over Chengdu including Leshan Buddha. Loved the cute pandas and the tea house in the ancient town! She took pictures of me and was very willing the consider your pace (slow or fast). I highly suggest booking this tour and specifically request for Ling as that cute girl will take super good care of you 😀!!!

We left Guilin for Chengdu on the Bullet train, we were escorted by our Guide Shirley and told to get off at Chengdu where our guide would meet us! We arrived at Chengdu (South) no guide we managed to get out of the station still no Guide. We made contact with Tour China and apparently we should have got off at Chengdu East where our Guide Connie was waiting for us! Connie made her way to South and recovered us! Connie is without doubt one of the best guide iv had over many tours in many countries. We started with a tour to community park to see the match making conner and the Bonsai section these were amazing then we went to our hotel for one night . Connie checked us all in and gave us advice on where to eat. The next morning Connie toke us to the Panda Reserve this place was amazing we seen Baby, Teenage and Adult Giant Pandas as well as Red Pandas Connie then toke us to the train station escorted us to the train and gave us clear instructions on where we needed to get off.

The panda experience was great, a must see for anyone who visits China Our guide was Claire. We found all our guides in China to be of a very high standard and Claire was no exception What stood out with her was her smiling happy enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile We really enjoyed our time with her

We had a wonderful 24 hours with a lovely bubbly guide called Claire . She packed in so much for us to experience. We tried different food walking around the market. Has an amazing hotpot. She knew the best routes around the Panda park.Claire is full of information and her personality and her little giggles you can't help but have a great time. Thank you Claire
