The guide was great and very knowledgable about the flaura and fauna, if you like hiking it’s a must. For the waterfall bring swimming shoe or something as the rocks are quite sharp there.

It was really great. I was picked up from the hotel and in a small group (15) we went comfortably along the 25 Fountains. Our guide showed us the best photo spots and kept explaining the magnificent fauna or construction. He also took good care of our group and made sure that we were doing well and that everyone was there. Sturdy and preferably waterproof footwear is really important for the trail. There are also 2 stops at the beginning for the restroom or to stock up on food and drinks. Definitely recommended.

Fabulous day had with our guide and driver, Ben. Very knowledgeable and friendly and we both enjoyed our walk and the company of our group. The walk itself is set mostly through trees and does have many steps, both up and down. Finishing with a walk through a 800 metre tunnel. Highly recommended.

A great trip but be warned there’s a lot of steps down and up- a reasonable level of fitness required. Waterproof hiking boots would also be a good idea for walking through the tunnel at the end- the water will potentially come up to your ankles. Our guide Marta was fantastic!!

Super nice guided tour where there was room to be in one with nature without long talks and stops from the side of the guide.

Excellent 10k hike through the forest and levadas. Beautiful, lush forest, wild flowers and running water and waterfalls - stunning. Lots of steps up and down but well worth the effort. Highly recommend.

Decent walk through to the Levada then through a tunnel to the other side. Review online say this is a hard walk but it’s mostly flat with stairs up and down. I would say most age groups and fitness levels can do this hike no problem, if you have issues with stairs I would not recommend.

What a wonderful day. The weather was not great, cloudy, windy, cool with some heavy rain showers, but once up the mountain, it was so beautiful regardless. The walk was easy, apart from a long flight of stairs which Ben, our guide, just encouraged us to take our time over. Waterproof shoes with good grip are a good idea, waterproof jacket and a warm layer would make it more comfortable. Ben's knowledge of the Island and his communication were excellent. The stop at the cafe before and after the walk to use facilities and have refreshments was helpful. Walking along the full, flowing levada was so relaxing. A beautiful way to understsnd and appreciate the uniqueness of this island. Would recommend.

This hike was very nice. Marta told us a lot of interesting things about the Levadas and the Laurel Forest. Nature is simply fascinating, the forest and then the 25 springs, including the waterfall. A great experience.

Martha was an excellent driver, very emphatic, very competent. The course was very coordinated.

A lovely hike with many steps -mainly down, but a few up. Daria was clear with instructions and navigated us well and provided great instruction for what would be ahead. Well organised! The bus driver, Carlos, was pleasant and efficient!

We had a wonderful day and would like to thank Daria our tour guide . She was excellent and never rushed us as we were with our autistic son. And a big thank you to the lovely driver Calos for taking us on the tour and specially for bringing back my son’s power bank and charger that he had left in the bus . He was very happy to have it . Yesterday was just fantastic! The hike to the 25 Fontes Levadas impressed me deeply and exceeded my expectations by far. The nature was breathtaking, the route varied and the atmosphere was consistently positive.A special thanks goes to our driver and tour guide Marta. Their warm manner and professional guidance have made the day a real highlight. Thanks to her experience and calm charisma, we felt safe and motivated at all times. Marta has managed to not only introduce us to the beauty of Madeira, but also to ensure a good mood and team spirit.I can recommend this tour to anyone who wants to actively experience Madeira – and with Marta it is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience!

Great hike!!!! Few uphills and downhills but moderate . Love love the hike!!!!! Mostly trails are covered with trees . Our guide and driver are amazing!! Friendly and pleasant !
