Pleasant small museum - mainly pictures and videos about Moroccan food. Entrance is 80 Dirham, but that includes a coffee or tea and some small pastries in their very pleasant tea room. We also had a good lunch there.

The 2 young people at reception made us very welcome with tea and we had a wonderful time. Above all, we learned a lot about Moroccan cuisine and its hospitality. Very beautiful courtyard where there are almost no people compared to the other palaces and museums and tasting of delicious Moroccan salads.

This was a great class.. very well organized and informative... professional grade kitchen, designed for teaching; good support from staff; instructions were clear; and the meals we prepared were excellent. One of the best experiences of our trip and some of the best food we had in Morocco.Be careful not to pay for the class through a third party; they only accept direct payment.

The museum and cooking class were a highlight of our Marrakech vacation. We visited the museum as a couple with our 12 year old granddaughter. My granddaughter and I both attended the cooking class. The museum is located almost immediately next to the Bahia Palace, so be sure to include a visit to the Morroccan Culinary Arts Museum. The architecture of the building alone is absolutely worth seeing and the inner courtyard of the palace is beautiful. You can also sit there and have tea or just enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. The museum is very interesting and modern. The design conveys knowledge about spices and Moroccan cuisine in an appealing way. The concept is well thought out and the presentation is really great!For those interested in cooking, there is a cooking course in English or French twice a day. The kitchen is modern, very clean and has a Moroccan flair despite the professional equipment. The cook works at a cooking station. Parallel to the preparation by the chef, you can see the cooking steps via live video on the screen. Here you will find high tech next to tradition.Since there were only two of us, this cooking course was a very special experience. Everything was explained and shown in detail. In addition to the friendliness and patience we were shown, we also really liked the fact that we were served our delicious Moroccan menu on the roof terrace at the end. We really enjoyed this visit to the museum, the cooking class and the food.Special praise goes to the staff of this museum. Everyone was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. A visit that is definitely worth it! Recommended for the whole family!

A must see in for Foodies in Marrakesch. This Museum was part of the Bahia Palace and was recently renovated. The building is so beautiful it is a worth half the entrance. The display of the different foods and cooking methods is really interesting. Videos, text and artifacts are well put together. It's is very well categorised.We had the ticket with tasting. The food was very nice put together and you get a lot of different super tasty bites.It is at the moment a bigger secret than the secret garden, because we were one of the few people around and could really enjoy the Garden and everything. I guess in a while it will be busy as the rest of Marrakesch. It's definitely a recommendation.

What a wonderful location of a beautiful traditional riad and well explained and laid out description of Moroccan cuisine. We had really wanted to do the cooking lesson (they teach you how to cook three courses) in their fantastic and well organised kitchen, but they were fully booked. Will book ahead next time!

Me and a friend went to explore the museum with a food tasting afterwards. In the museum it shows you pictures and information about Moroccan food and the history behind it. You also see the tables, chairs and dinnerware that was used/is used. If you go to the food tasting at the roof of the building, you are given 11 small things to try and all were good in their own different way.

What a beautiful and quaint museum in an unspoiled riad. A visit here will teach you all the essentials of Moroccan cuisine, and is a must for any travelling foodies! We took the tasting ticket and got to enjoy a selection of Moroccan salads we’d just read about! These were filling enough to skip lunch too; excellent value for the 120MAD ticket price. Unlike many of the riad-esque tourist attractions in Marrakech, this was very tranquil and free from the usual Instagram-obsessed photoshooters. Very underrated yet well worth the visit! Stunning.

The cooking class we took was in EN together with a US couple and a group of Italian friends, we had a necessary help (botb verbal and manual) from our teacher and her little helpers a d absolutely enjoyed making the chicken tajin, typical Marrocan salad and side dish plus a dessert as a bonus. Also highly recommend visit of the exhibition to get the idea what ingredients are used in local cuisine.

Really interesting, didn't take long but worth the visit. It's well laid out and was pretty quiet so easy to get round. Would be good to have a book based on what they show you.

I had the most satisfying and enjoyable experience of my days in Marrakech at the Culinary Arts Museum. Everything was perfect, it’s a beautiful house, much like anything in the Bahia Palace, if not more, and everything is very well documented, with a great atmosphere and the kind of infra structure you won’t find in many places in Marrakech. Besides that, all the staff is very kind and go out of their way to accommodate you. If that was not enough, I highly recommend the Cooking class! If you like to cook, or if you enjoy food, it’s an opportunity you can’t miss! The chef is great, a great teacher and great cook, and their kitchen is on pair, if not better, than any premier cooking school you’ll find anywhere else. It was an amazing opportunity for me to understand more about their cooking culture and have a lot of fun, not to mention to eat very well too! : ) If I’m ever back in Marrakech, I’ll be back there for sure, it’s a “can’t miss” for food lovers.Eduardo Alonso (from Brazil).

We booked the cooking experience in English. It was in French. We were supposed to get bottled water when we ate the meal we had prepared, instead we had to pay for it. We were supposed to get tea and/or coffee, none was offered There was supposed to be a demonstration of Moroccan bread making, there was none. We were supposed to “visit the bread oven and herbalist of the district where the spices come from” - again, no. The itinerary said we would discover how to prepare tagines and couscous. Tagines yes, couscous, no. Although the morning class was enjoyable, it did not quite live up to its billing.

The setting of this museum is truly spectacular, situated in a beautifully restored palace. It is found just a few metres up from the Bahia Palace, so is easy to find.I found the displays a little underwhelming, however, I was happy just to explore the building.Complimentary tea is served as you explore the museum, which was a lovely touch.On the top floor is a cookery school, sister to that of Maison Arabe. It is a very professional set up, and would certainly be worth taking a class if time permitted.It was a delightful surprise to discover a restaurant on the roof terrace, serving simple tagines.I really enjoyed this museum and would recommend visiting if you are passing or are a dedicated foodie.
